bluetooth and samsumg phone connection

my mate asked me about bluetooth hookup to his galaxy phone to stream content to box and tv,he knows about bluetooth and setting up box and has configured settings but still cannot stream content to phone?

is their steps to check as he thinks it might be missing a driver?

Got this receiver yesterday, installed kodi 17 from the vix feed, and exodus addon but can't get any stream to play.

Anyone have any idea how to get this to work please

[VU+ Zero] Constantly crashes - posting log

Hi all,
Please see attached my error log. Can't provide build information, as when I go to this section of the menu the whole system crashes. I can't get into anything to do with information it just crashes on the box.

I tried a factory reset but it was still the same. Any ideas? :)

Hi,

I am looking for an addon / service where i can transfer content from from phone or pc to engima2. I am quite sure enigma2 can play it. Howeveri need a method of sending the link to enigma2 receiver.

example: say i play something via kodi and then i can select play via local cast or bubbleupnp or anything and select enigma2 as receiver.

What addon can i use to do this?

[VU+ Solo2] Day / date not displaying on epg & menus

Only a small bug I guess & nothing that affects the running of the box. The day / date that displays in the top right corner of all the menu & epg screens has stopped working on build 026. Restored back to 023 and it came back. Tried both a software update & also a couch flash to get to 026 with the same result.

Skin I'm using is ViXBMC 1080 Confluence (not sure if that makes a difference). The day / date has been replaced with a Y. The time still shows in the top right after the Y. The date still works when you press the OK button on the remote though.

Like I said not an issue that affects anything really just an odd one. Thanks.

FTA no signal

asking for a friend....
he has a sat receiver set up, his regular sky channels are working fine and around 90% signal quality for all those channels.
his FTA channels (BBC, ITV etc) are not clearing and signal quality is at 10% on these channels
he has a standard sky minidish as far as i know.
any ideas what the problem might be?

Replacing Q lnb

In preparation for installing a new twin tuner I need to replace a sky q lnb with a hybrid lnb which I have. Has anyone replaced a sky q lnb as looking at the existing one the cables appear to enter the lnb via a gland an a sliding cover which I would have thought protects the screw on F plugs
The cover doesn't seem easily removed, has anyone done this without damaging the lnb.

Twin cable tuner option

Hi

Is anybody using the model with the twin cable tuner option. If so are they any good? Just ordered one and was just making sure it is one cable feed in, then the receiver hardware splits the signal. I ask this as I want to use with vm to watch one channel and record another. Any replies appreciated.

[ABM-DVB-S/S2] ABM can not read data

Hi guys, running a gigablue hd quad plus. ABM for 28.2 comes up with message CANNOT READ DATA. Virmin runs fine. this has only started happening today. Reflashed image and initial manual ABM worked but would not read data after that. Any ideas?

Hi
To day I use Tvheadend on a rpi3 with USB dvb-c tuners serving unencrypted TV to boxes running Kodi.

After 1 Jan. Our TV package got altert and some of the channels we watched most are now encrypted.
I have a card for the living room TV, but I'll like to watch all my channels in my hole house, and reclaim my TV from the kids... One of the encrypted channels is one of theirs.

If I buy a UNO 4K dvb-c and use a professional CI module (irdeto) would I able to have up to 8 parallel streams (recording and streams though out the house) - assuming I buy the professional 8 stream module?
I just want it to be set and forget, so no soft cam.
Today I just use the standard plain irdeto Smit cam in my TV with my T14 card from Stofa in Denmark

Tuner scan not getting all channels and ABM error 'timeout for tuner lock'

Not sure if this is the right place to post this...?

Having a bit of trouble with my VU Duo picking up channels on my new sky dish. (VIX image, 28.2e)

I have moved house and Sky installed a brand new dish, the Sky Q box is working fine and picking up all channels, however when replacing it with my own VU Duo I couldn't get signal on my channels, did an automatic scan and its picked up only 86 channels, when trying to use ABM I get the error 'timeout for tuner lock'.

Works fine at another house, so believe tuners are setup correctly in the settings. Tried changing various settings including disabling tuner 2 but still only get the same 86 channels.

The sky engineer commented that he could only just get signal due to the facing of my house but I guess that as I am getting the channels on the Sky Q it should be fine on the Duo?

Any help at all would be great, Thanks

When I enable the Auto resolution in Vix image it says "Auto resolution is not working in Scart/DVI-PC mode". I have connected the same HDMI cable that comes with the box. Is there any issue for the system?

My VU solo packed up today. The box won't load and can't flash it.

Looking for a new single tuner for the bedroom, any suggestions of a cost effective box that will run VIX?

Good evening all, an Openvix newbie writes...

I've been using the standard Vu+ image on my solo2 for about a year and i'm going through "due diligence" before i power on with a USB bearing a new image inserted.
I don't think i'm going to be doing anything complicated - just the standard UK freeview channels from astra, no sky, no cam, quad LNB, LAN not wifi, no over-the-web streaming, built in 500Gb HDD...
Mostly i think i'm almost prepared, short of getting the latest available image the day before. But before i do, a couple of questions:

1. What will happen to the existing recordings on the HDD? The HDD will be wiped as part of the install process (don't think so)? Or they they'll be there but not watchable for decoding reasons or whatever?

2. I use the vu+ ipad app for radio streaming on an aging ipad1. Will this app still continue to function afterwards?

3. I assume openwebif is still going to work afterwards? Makes some things quite easy...

4. Will the existing list of services remain, or will i have to rescan? To be honest i probably should rescan anyway. it's been a good few months

Apart from this is there anything i may have forgotten, or other gotchas i may not have found by reading various bit of "stuff"

Xp1000 support

Just noticed my max digital xp1000 I've had for years is no longer supported. Is that correct.
