Kodi, HDD, Channel List & Vu+ Solo 2 in general
Hi all,
Literally had the Vu+ Solo 2 (open vix) for less than a day and I really like it. It feels like a huge leap from skybox. Apologies if the questions have been asked before. I have looked through the forum but I am more concerned with doing damage to the box more than anything - so feel free to advise on not doing something.
Question 1: I haven't bought a HDD for the box yet but I am looking to get a second hand one later today (Western Digital Blue 1Tb 3.5" 64MB Cache Desktop Internal SATA Hard Disk Drive HDD). What this be ok to buy or should I be looking at something else for better performance?
Question 2: I have seen videos of Kodi playing on Vu+ boxes but is there any concern that loading this on could cause any damage or performance issues to the box? also, would it be possible to get on demand content from BBC, ITV, CH5, RTE etc?
Question 3: I would like the (Sky) Blue HD skin on the box, Am I right in saying that I cannot add the skin until I have a HDD (or could use a USB stick)? Where would be a trusted place to download the skin from and how do I apply it?
Question 4: The channels seem to be a bit all over the place. Is there any way that I can order channels or assign a number to channels? For instance make BBC channel 1
Question 5: To watch and record channels I take it I will need a second coax cable from the dish?

Gigablue quad plus tune failed help
hi every one ive got a gigablue quad plus twin tuner running on vm getting tune failed on aminal planet hd . so thought it might of been feed so tryed down stairs and that channel works and tryed it in sons room and works . so thought are must be down to feed but sons amiko alien 2 works fine on that channel in my room so cant be down to feed . when the gigablue is connected in my room ive went to signal finder 0.0 dB SNR 0 AGC 0 BER 0 LOCK is unticked only seems to be this channel has me baffled any help with this thanks

Remote problem
Just setup my osmega which has the latest openvix put on by WOS.
I have a Geneva sound base attached to my Panasonic TV which is connected with an optical cable.
The problem I have is that the Up button on the Edision turns the sound base on and off. For example when in any menu scrolling up turns the sound base on and off

[ET10x00] Plugins and Kodi
Flashed to 027 yesterday and thought I'd install my normal plugins today, went to install Kodi and (even though it's not that great I use the BBC iPlayer plugin to catch up on missed programs) I can't seem to find it in extensions anymore.
Has this been removed or is it no longer compatible with the recent changes introduced in 027?

Just enquiring whether anyone managed to dual boot the Ultimo4k, I am aware that its a new piece of kit but I would love have ago at doing so but lack the knowledge required, maybe someone done it and would be able to point me in the right direction, your help would be greatly appreciated.

[VU+ Solo2] Crash Logs missing send
hello - this morning I flashed my box and everything fine. just came home and whilst on EPG the box crashed. went into logs to send to openvix and I noticed that the send (Blue) button is missing.Enigma2_crash_2017-01-25_18-06-42.log

[Mut@nt] HD51 1st time poster. help needed
hi,
I've recently bought a Mut@nt HD51 and on powering up I'm getting the following on the box. I've not set anything up as yet as this is all I'm getting and the remote doesn't seem to do anything either. when I connect it to my network I can ping the device however I cant view it via a browser (tried IE/FF/Chrome)
Anybody have any ideas or should I look at returning it?

[ET9x00] Base-nfs IPK
Has anyone got a copy of the base nfs ipk so i can try and install NFS networking on my ET9000 manually please?
It seems there is something wrong with the auto install on the ET9000 and it does not install. it may bee a feed problem.

[VU+ Solo2] First Crash on 027
After running for a week on 026 without issue, had a crash just 24 hours after couch flashing 027 - the box recovered OK after an auto-restart

[Mut@nt] HD51 Mutant HD51 well that didn't last long
Purchased from WOS got delivered this morning sat down at 10 this evening got set up with vix downloaded a new skin and and that's the last i saw of it I'm getting horizontal bars right across the front led panel any ideas please

[OS-mini] Crash logs - System Freezes
Hi,
Could someone please check the attached log files and let me know what they mean?
The box seems to randomly freeze. I am on build 4.2.027.
On 25/01/2017 it froze and then restarted by itself.
On 26/01/2017 it froze and got stuck when checking bouquet. I could see the channel in the top right hand corner, had to turn it off at the back to restart.
The plugins installed are:
OpenWebif
OpenVix Blue HD
Latest Oscam from OpenVix feed
This is a brand new box I received a couple of days ago. I had the same problem with a previous one. Thought that one may have developed a fault and returned it for a replacement.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.
