I thank the OpenVix team for their hard work in developing this image.
Image works fantastic. I tried more images, but OpenVIX is by far the fastest.
I tried the image in flesh, but also in multiboot (with more options in the flesh: Opendroid, Egami, and also through the NeoBoot2 plugin, where I installed PurE2 with two partitions in my flesh). OpenVIX works very well in all options, even great. Also, all plugins work perfectly. Even the Kodi plugin.
Otherwise, the Kodi plugin is installed on location /media/hdd/.kodi/. However, I would love if it is possible to change the location: to have the Kodi plugin installed in
/...Plugins/Extensions/,
/usr/share/Kodi/ or in
/home/root/Kodi/.
It would be great if the wizard of the installation offered to choose which location we want to install the Kodi plugin. As with the KodiLite plugin for the DM800SE. Since all images of the Kodi plugin are installed at /media/hdd/.kodi/, it would be great to have at least one image that the Kodi plugin installs at another location. This would allow us to have two versions of the Kodi plugin (if I installed several versions of OpenVIX in multiboot, I would also have several versions of the Kodi plugin - with various Builds, addons, skins, etc ...). I think it would be best if this is realized with multiboot in OEA images, such as Opendroid, OpenATV, maybe Egami, I'm not sure. NeoBoot plugin is pretty unstable. They are still working on its development, and it would be fantastic if it could match up with PurE2 image with two partitions in flash (thus gaining additional memory)

Hello all !! good morning to OpenVix Great Team!!!! i need your help please
i have a lot of receivers mips and Arm and the powervu channles 4.8e 0.8w etc.. works perfect with same config files.
My question is
I have now a zgemma H9S and the power vu in 4.8e and 0,8w dont work in all images open vix/openatv/openpli etc....
Does anybody know about this problem and how to fix that?
I am talking about with not stream-relay not with stream-relay
Only my Zgemma h9s has this problem not other receivers

Hi I have just moved to a different VM provider area, According to the list provide by cactikid on the sticky Thread "Virgin NetID & Tuning Frequencies (Nit Analyser)" my area should be

Leyland_Lancs. ex_C&W 41000 531.000

I cant select this area on ABM as it doesn't exist. I tried following the instructions in the above mentioned Sticky Thread by downloading the Nit_Analyser IPK but even though it ran successfully dvbc.xml, nit.bin and nit.log couldn't be found it the /tmp/directory.

I am able to do a full frequency scan and all the channels are successfully found, but the ABM EPG is getting very out of date with many channels having been removed since the last time it ran successfully

can you please advise.

Hi All

I'm really confused. I'm looking to replace an EE freeview box which can record 3 channels while you watch another all through the TV Ariel. I have a Sky+ quad LNB and dish on the wall, and two cables running down to where the EE box is from a recent Sky+ HD box which is no longer there.

If I get the Octagon 8008 box, and connect up one sky cable and the normal terrestrial cable, how many channels could I record at the same time?

Would I need a different LNB, or would I need to look at a different box?

I'm struggling to understand S/2x, Multistream. I understand Unicable will allow multiple schannels to be recorded while using a Unicable 2 LNB and an receiver like the Gigablue UE 4K, but that is quite a bit more.

since reslease 32 I can not get my previous configuration restored well.
config nim tuner UNICABLE / JESS LNB ( inverto IDLU-32UL40-UNBOO-OPP) that I use with a rotor does not save me neither parameters of the engine nor model of inverto.

someone with my similar configuration that is happening to him?

I'm running 5.2.001 and it is stable, apart from having to restart the softcam to avoid what feels like a lengthy delay at times, even though this is set to auto startup.
I would like to update to the latest release version to see if this might cure my problem, but I am reluctant to do so unless I can find the easiest and quickest way to do this.
I'm able to save an image or settings backup to my usb hdd I use for recordings along with my channel picons.
I have the latest release image on a usb stick which I know works.

Can someone confirm the minimum steps I need to take to achieve this please.....

Am I the only one that has problems in EPG ?
Opening EPG trying to scroll to the right ( into the future) frezzes the reciver.

Running 5.2.032

Have tried EPG location both on flash an harddrive.

What goes wrong ?

[VU+ Zero] Very bad network performance

I updated my VU+ zero to the latest release yesterday and am now experiencing very bad internet and network performance. It makes little difference whether I use a wired or wireless connection. I never get more than 20 Mbits/s downstream via NetSpeed. Previously, I was able to reach approx. 80 MBit/s when using the wired connection. I know that the NIC is only a 100 MBit one, so that's more or less OK or to be expected but less than 20 MBit/s is abysmal and is causing me issues with IPTV.

Other devices in my network don't have these issues, they all reach internet speeds in excess of 180 MBit/s, even wireless.

On the box I installed the NetSpeed plugin for this but I also have a command-line tool that basically does the same and reports the same results. I use the same NetSpeed server to verify these result on my different devices. I've rebooted everything including router/modem, of course. No difference.

Where there any changes made to the network stack recently?

Just reflashed tm nano se with latest image and set up client mode running better now but wonder if epg needs to be saved anywhere like a usb stick still in rear if needed.The guides only say channels and epg will be imported.

Hi,

im pretty new to IPTV ... but have been using my Vuduo2 now for about 2 years.

When I set a program timer, or just use the red button to record a iPTV stream, the box crashes, and reboots, crashes and reboots.. until after the program has finished.
Watching all the channels are fine... its just recording that is the issue

any help / advice greatly appreciated

When clicking in the service information on the blue button (Tuner settings values) the system crashes. Could repete this behaviour twice

Unfortunately I cannot read out any fatal error on the crash log. Can you try this out yourself?

Hi, I from Italy and sorry for my English, it is a bit worthwhile .... But I am here to say that I find OpenVix is a fantastic image for my Zgemma H9.2S.
