hello I installed version 5.3 the only difference is the gstreamer and the python I prefer version 5.2 because the stalker works much faster.

Is it possible to tell windows not to power certain usb ports until the PC is fully booted?

Like the title says, I have 2 devices that I would like to not have any communication with until the PC is fully booted to desktop. One is my Samsung Odyssey WMR headset (that I need to unplug and replug every time I want to use it after booting my PC for some reason) and my thrustmaster steering wheel (during the initial startup of windows, it will go through its boot sequence 3 times because the usb starts and stops on bootup constantly. Also, the wheel will not have any force feedback unless I replug it after windows is fully booted as well. I have tried all of the ports in my mobo and have now invested in a pci-e usb card. Is it possible to tell windows not to power the card until the PC is fully booted to desktop? Thanks in advance.

[VU+ Duo4K] VIX Image 5.3.001 not flashing from USB

Just trying to update to image 5.3.001 on my VU+ Duo4K and have tried 3 different Kingston USB sticks in both front and rear USB ports.

Box panel shows reading and asks to press the Power button. This is followed by programming and then Flashing Image - and that's where it stays with no progress bar. I've left it each time for around 10 minutes and then switched off the power and removed the USB stick.

Turn the power back on and the box reboots back into former working condition image of 5.2.045 which is fine but it would have been nice to update to the latest image.

I just wanted to raise awareness of this issue with the Duo 4K and will try again on the next image release.

[VU+ Solo2] Power Timer

I put my solo2 into deep standby at night and have my power timer set to start it up in the morning (every day)

My question is how can I delete the pages and pages of entries that are now there. I know you can delete them one by one but this will take forever. Is there another way?

USB Tethering from android phone

Which packages i have to download, so i can use my android phone to tether internet connection through USB 2 or USB 3 (both work for me)

I have installed bunch of network usb drivers from feed, but nothing seems to work (or i dont know how to enable it?)

Saorview Frequency Changes

Hello all,

Saorview in ROI are changing a number of their terrestrial Tv frequencies. Just wondering does anyone know if or when Auto Bouquet Maker will be updated to allow for these changes? There are going to be simulcasts with old and new frequencies, can ABM handle this?

Following a decision by the EU, some of the TV broadcast spectrum that is used by Saorview is to be reallocated to other purposes. The spectrum that is being cleared is the 700 MHz frequency band. The Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment (DCCAE) has published information on its website detailing the parties responsible for the change which can be viewed here.

As a result of the 700 MHz migration some Saorview customers will be affected by the changes. The migration is taking place between Wednesday 4 September 2019 and Wednesday 4 March 2020, and Saorview will be providing information and advice to its viewers in order to ensure that they are aware of the migration and how the changes may affect them. Saorview customers can check to see if they will be affected by the changes by using this website or by contacting the Saorview team.

Many Saorview users will not be affected. But for those that are affected, they will need to retune their Saorview box or TV, and some customers may need to have some work done on their aerial and/or installation.

Just got this box today and cannot seem to scan 28.2.
Tried OE installed image and VIX, both do the same.
It can pick up some stuff but not bbc1 etc etc.
Only way it will scan is via a blind scan.

No other box here to test at the moment.

[Mut@nt] HD51 How to remove extra channels

I have recently flashed my Mutant HD51 with the next to latest image. After going through the setup etc, I see that I have hundreds of extra channels which I don't recall seeing before. I am in the West Yorkshire/Humber TV area and using the FreeSAT channels, but I have seen that I have BBC1 Lincs as an example, and the channel numbers go up to around 5000!!

Is there a way of removing the channels I neither will use nor need.

[VU+ Solo2] Universal Channel

Last night, Universal Channel came up with the Service not found! Error message.

I updated Satellites.xml, updated provider files,did a rescan and updated Autobouquets. After all this, Universal disappeared from Bouquets altogether!

Today, I have done a complete reflash, without system restore. Still no joy. Universal is listed twice in the Not indexed channels, one with 11835 frequency, the other with 12108, but looking at Lyngsat, it should be 11836.

This is really stretching my knowledge, so any help appreciated.

sf8008 2160p24, 2160p25, 2160p30 display modes missing

Hi,

I have a OpenVIX 5.3 installed on a sf8008. My sf8008 connects to my t.v through a old (HDMI 1.4) av receiver. HDMI 1.4 spec says the max resolution is 3840 × 2160 at 24, 25, and 30 Hz which is fine however the sf8008 only shows 50Hz / 60Hz when I select 2160p in the video settings.

Forcing the mode using "echo 2160p25 > /proc/stb/video/videomode" works and I can confirm the t.v has switched resolution and is displaying fine, however when I change channel the videomode goes back to 1080p.

is there anyway to stop the box from changing resolution when I change channel or to get the actual video mode to show up in settings.

The /proc/stb/video/videomode_preferred and videomode_available has the following:-
pal ntsc 480i 480p 576i 576p 720p50 720p 720p24 1080i50 1080i 1080p50 1080p 1080p24 2160p25 2160p30 2160p50 2160p 2160p24

LNB no power, switching off

After reboot, power to my LNB shuts off after a short time; seconds or minutes.
Even with no cables connected [just an electronic volt meter], I get correct 13vdc for a short time, then it cuts to nearly zero [measures .03v].

The box is old but still seems to boot correctly, plays recorded programs, and connects to the network. The only error shown is 'Tune failed'.

The problem started when I connected a new ivancom LNB, but that may have been coincidence. Before that I had an old offset LNB connected for a year, it worked but signal strength was low; so it had power.

Has anyone else had this happen?
Any hints?

OverlayHD skin

Hi guys.
Ive been using the OverlayHD skin for a few days now and quite like it
Ive been playing with the Overlay skin manager and im trying to find the setting that changes the colour of the "channel name" and the "current program" as shown in a example picture below.
Could anybody tell me which is the settings that changes the colour? If it is possible.

Bt sport 1

Hey guys

Noticed a week or so ago bt sport 1 stopped working on my solo2. I rescanned the box and found a bt sport 1 which worked but after running abm it deletes the one that’s working but still shows the one that’s not.

How can I fix this ?

Hello,
I have a openvix image with a size of the history zap fixed at 20 entries.
There is no menu selectable for increase or decrease the size of the history zap size.
Everyone can say me where it is possible to increase the size of the history zap, in wich file i can adjust this.

[VU+ Solo2] Dreamplex crashing when OK pressed

I did a search of the forum for dreamplex and OK and could not find an existing bug so opened this if if this is a known issue I apologise.

This issue also occured on 5.2 also.

settings
Dreamplex - enigma2-plugin-extensions-dreamplex - 2.1.3+git1433+3df440c-r0 - extensions-dreamplex
Default Dreamplex Skin
Dreamplex settings - local server
Openvix skin - BlueHD - enigma2-plugin-skins-openvix-blue-hd - 5.3+git2101+0076a6e-r4 - Enigma2 Skin Pack:

STEPS to reproduce
  1. open dreamplex
  2. play any movie or tv show.
  3. while the movie/tv show is playing press "OK" on the remote.


After pressing Ok the bx will become unresponsive and the movie/tv show will contunie to play. E2 looks like it restarts but all video and audio then stops on the box and a reboot is required to get it back. This happens every time a movie/tv show is being played if OK is pressed.

Stuck on Flashing Image- new 5.3 release

Good Morning all, first time i experience a problem like this one, tried two usb sticks already, never had issues with em before, formatted to fat32, copied folder to usb, box power off, no other usb devices in use, it get stuck on flashing image? what can i do?

[Zgemma H7] Unable to upgrade after install of OpenViX 5.3

After installing OpenViX 5.3.001, I can't seem to do a software upgrade via the GUI or SSH. The GUI doesn't give anything useful, just that there was an error and to try again.

Not my box but this one came pre-loaded with OpenTV.

Even after loading ViX the ATV logo remains.
