Hi been trying to update mut@nt 1500 but it won't update tried few USB sticks but boots up as normal but doesn't do anything

Anyone else getting loads of reboots since updating to 4-2-026 ?
Iv'e had at least 10 since updating a few days ago.This morning the box was in a bootloop of crashing.
Had to unplug it to get it going again.It just rebooted again tonight and froze so had to switch off again.
I did try and get the crash log but logging into the box caused it to crash.
Iv'e rolled back to 021 in the meantime as that appears stable.
I updated to 026 using the image manager would that make any difference to using the USB stick method ?

Recording programmes and EPG advise

Hi
Just need some info on how the epg and record works on Linux STB's
On sky or Virgin receivers with multi tuners it will record a selected programme from the epg without having to select a tuner.
With the various Linux receivers that have two satellite tuners and one terrestial aerial tuner will there be one epg that supports all three tuners or one satellite epg and one terrestrial epg
Also if I want to record a programme will it work like the sky or Virgin receivers and select a spare tuner automatically to record from this not being used

VIX Image Updating

Not sure if this has been asked before, I could not find an answer
Does it make any difference which Image you are using or should you always flash the latest Image when it is released. If so does this mean that you would have to set up from the beginning or is anything saved from the previous version.

Advice on VU+ Uno two satellite LNB choices

Although I've been a satellite tv enthusiast for many years, this is my first post on this forum. After several years of falling behind the times, I recently bought a Denon 4K surround amp and blu ray player and have ordered a Panasonic 65DX902B 4K tv which is arriving at the end of the week.

I am looking at buying a VU+ Uno as an update from my current Humax HD PVR. I have a Humax Freesat box, so the VU+ Uno would be set up for two satellites, Astra 19.2 and Hotbird 13. Alternatively on Astra 19.2 for tuner 1 with the second tuner used for a motorised connection.

My question is on the type of lnb I should buy? The easiest solution would be a fixed monoblock dual sat lnb ( I have an 80cm dish).

But as the VU+ Uno is compatible with Unicable lnbs, I wonder whether to buy two of them, one for each sat, or just one and connect the legacy port to the second tuner and buy a new motor as I read that the Unicable lnb itself is not motor compatible.

What are the recording capabilities on the Uno using a dual sat monoblock lnb on Atra and Hotbird versus the benefits of a Unicable lnb with the legacy port for a motorised connection? Any advice on setup and lnb choice would be appreciated.

[VU+ Duo2] Card initializing error?

I have a problem with my card readers, apparently... One has not work for a while and the other seems to have a problem as well at the moment... Here is the log:

[ET8x00] Autotimer suddenly stopped working

I have two autotimers set up for my lad to record WWE Raw Live and WWE Smackdown Live late on Monday and Tuesday nights. These have worked very well for months, until a few weeks back they suddenly stopped recording. I check the recordings the following mornings and there is nothing there, even though the timers are enabled and I leave the box in standby overnight.

The wife also has an autotimer to record all the Corries, and this continues to work well.

I've tried deleting and recreating the WWE autotimers, but they still fail to record.

Any idea what I should be looking at? I haven't, to the best of my knowledge, changed anything.

My VU+ Duo Recording to Network Share Woes

Guys,

Hoping someone can shed some light as this has been an ongoing issue for a while.

I have a VU+ Duo with the latest vix image, what I am aiming to do is move recording from the internal HDD to a NAS share.

A NAS share has been created called vur with username vu password vu.

I have setup the mount using menu>setup>system>network>mounts setup>network browser and gone through the settings, got the green tick etc.

Then what? I am stuck, I have tried to go into menu>setup>system>recording and playback settings to try and select the share as the Default Movie Location to no avail.

The share also doesn't appear in menu>setup>vix

Also, when I select the button on the remote which brings up my recordings, I press yellow button to change location and it says /media/autofs/vur does not exist

Any guidance much appreciated.

[TM-NANO-2-SUPER] 2nd tuner issues

I have an issue with my box when making a recording and trying to record or watch a 2nd channel. If I'm recording something and switch channels then the channel starts glitching. If I try and record 2 channels then one of the recordings will be blank (just black screen and no sound for the full duration of the recording).

It doesn't appear to be be a tuner fault as both work fine if I disable the other so I can only assume it's a software issue. Any help would be gratefully received.

It's been causing problems for some time but I've only just realised it's only when both tuners are working together. I've done plenty of clean installs of VIX and not had any different results

Bouquets missing from EPG

I've been on OpenVix Hades 018 for a LONG time because it does everything I want and I've configured it exactly as I want!
I decided to upgrade tonight and noticed the bouquets list from the EPG menu is missing (not a big deal, I've gone back to my old image)
Attached to this post are the 2 screen shots - the screen shot taken on the phone is OpenVix 4.2.026 and the other screen shot is Hades 018

The bouquets list I'm talking about is across the top: Favourites (TV) :: Sky ROI Entertainment :: Sky ROI Movies :: Sky ROI Music
It's completely missing from the 4.2.026. The remote control keys < > still switches between bouquets and the title changes correctly.

Anyone else seeing this problem? Maybe there's a new setting on 4.2.026 I'm missing.
I did a fresh install of 4.2.026 with no settings/plugins restore.

EPG not populating - using crossepg and all setup correct on latest openvix

Hi all.

I can see this topic has been spoken about quite a bit but cannot seemto find the solution. i have a vu+ solo2 box runnign the latest openvix and use crossepg to download the EPG. currently i have it set to store on HDD. Now what i carnt understand is sometimes.

Most of the channels populate on the EPG when i load it up, so it may populate about 5 or 10 channels then miss quite a few etc

sometimes, hardly any and to get them to populate i normal press right and keep going along then day and then back to current time and it loads the epg for that channel etc.

but why will it not load every single channels EPG as soon as i click the EPG button on my remote? its frustrating.

i have the epg to save on the HDD
i have selected to have it automatically updated everyday at 6am.
i have selected sky UK in the sources section etc

dont know what else could be the problem.

hope somebody can help thank you

hi guys.

looking for some help please.
my box has been working fine for months but over the last week it have had issues with recording. when i set a program to record it does not record although i get a on screen message to say it has started to record it and when i go to my hdd it shows the program in there but when i click on it to play the screen goes black as if its stating to play and shows the epg title of what should play and the time duration bar. the time duration bar shows 0 hrs or mins and then just turns itself off and back to the original program i was watching.

dont know if it helps but i am able to record what i am watching.

anyone know what maybe wrong or able to help please?

Hi

Mods please delete this thread if it's a duplicate but I've searched the forum and found nothing similar (apart from this thread - which did not help with my problem and I did not want to revive an old thread from 2015 in case some one gets a stroke or something)

I am using [Technomate TM-Nano-SE M2 PLUS 1x DVB-S/S2 1x DVB-C/T/T2] with openvix latest image. It's working great so far with satellite. But I also have virgin media cable and wanted to use the cable with this box. I just connected at the back & setup the second tuner and did a scan which found many channels - most of them are duplicate for different areas and majority of them are not clearing.

How do I get the box to clear my package channels?

Can someone who's got this working please share their tips?

[GiGaBlue HD ULTRA UE] Image Manager Downloads (Couch Flash) problems

Hi all, I've been trying to do a "couch flash" that I've read a lot about, up till now I've always done a regular online update or re-flash via USB. However when I go into Image Manager and press yellow for "Downloads" I'm presented with a blank screen where it should list an available updated image to download I'm guessing? I have two Gigablue boxes and this happens to both running very similar builds of Vix which makes me think this method of updating may not be supported on these boxes?

Problem with reciever

I have a TM-Nano2 Super, working with a motorised dish



Reason I'm posting is that the shop I bought the system from has ceased trading, and there's a message coming up on the system, and it tells me that I should post it to the openpli forums for help!



I have absolutely no idea how this thing works, other than how to install channels on various satellites. 99% of the time it just points at the English satellite. I have no Linux knowledge whatsoever, so please be gentle if you are going to ask me to do stuff to it! - I will need explicit instruction!

I think its got something to do with recording programmes. We had the hard-drive replaced once after it bust after about 3 months. Been about a year since it came back, and the OpenPli had changed as well - was now something to do with the 10th anniversary edition. We do a fair bit of recording, and I keep on top of deleting the old stuff we've watched. I have a bad feeling its FUBAR but I hope something could be done!

I posted this in the openpli forum as requested by the receiver (above) - I got a slightly snotty response back saying they don't support TM equipment so someone must've uploaded old source code to it and the only way to do this was go to those who installed the program. All I know is that it looks like I've been sold a receiver with non-standard software on it, and it looks like I'm up the creek!

If this is the case, can anyone recommend a good, honest local dealer around the Chesterfield/Sheffield/Derby area of the UK. Looks like I'm shelling out for a new receiver :(

2 major issues. would i do best to reset

hi guys.

i currently have a post going on the forum relating to the 1 issue and starting to deal with the 2nd issue that just started today,
my issues are that i am unable to record anymore unless i record what i am watching. the 2nd is that from this morning i am now unable to download and update my EPG the error says "time out for turner lock"

so if i did a factory reset would i lose the image and that the box came flashed and setup with from W-O-S as i am not sure how to do this. just wanting to find out if this is a better choice that attempting to fix the 2 separate faults,

if you think its worth doing do you know a good guide to help me reset the box up with,
