trouble receiving channel list from box

I have rearranged some channels in the bouquets using the remote and changed the name of a bouquet. Now when i come to using dreambox edit i click to 'receive files from box' and it comes up with an error

heres the log

ive never had a problem before does anyone know whats happened? its something to do with the documentary that i changed the name of

Edison OS Mini stuck in Boot mode

Hi
My OS Mini twin sat tuner is stuck in boot mode had it for about 6mths been working ok. Have been over the months playing with the setting just to see what does what & to try & get the time-shift recording to work properly. Anyway have been away for a few weeks came home & the sound on some stations was dropping out & EPG wasn't always available so i done a factory reset in case i had set something up incorrectly, it all went well i set it all up as the instructions on here & everything worked fine for about a week. Then the other night turned it off went to bed, in the morning turned it on nothing the display on the box was dim as if in standby & the time said 00:01, i kept pushing the on button on the remote & the box's it's self but nothing. Then i powered the box down with the switch left it a couple of minutes turned it back on & all i have now is 'boot' on the box display & the 'openvix' logo on the TV tried to access it with my laptop but all i get is 'ECONNREFUSED'
Any ideas......

Have a one4all remote control - URC7980 which works perfectly with all my AV kit, need to get it to work with the Mutant 1500 - anyone know what remote code to try?

VU+ Duo HDMI-CEC Forward Volume controls

I recently bought a Yamaha AVR and at first when I enabled HDMI CEC and turned on forward volume control I could turn the volume up and down using the VU+ remote control but now for some reason it no longer works after updating to latest version...

Anyone else had similar issues?

I am using VU duo 2 box with OpenVix latest image.


I have previously tested few images but i found OpenVix image as more friendly to use. but I dont know any of skin.

I wish if I could have a skin close to VTI or any other higjhly graphically skin.....

Any recommendation will welcome

This CoolTVguide issue

After this recent issue with CoolTVGuide shutting down after 1st Feb, I did some research and learned that a version 7.6 had been made available to replace the 7.3. I downloaded the ipk file and put it on a USB.

Inserted the USB, gave me an option to install, which I did.
Told me it had updated accordingly.

Went back onto the EPG guide, and it was still shutting down, telling me it was 7.3.

What have I done wrong? I'm a total numpty with this stuff. Do I need to do something else?

Any help would be of assistance. Its running a 4th Dimension Open PLI - if that means something.

I really want the CoolTV guide back. I can hold the EPG button, and use another EPG list, but my missus wants the "full screen version" (as she calls it!) and is bending my ear to fix it. There must be a way to do it!!

Anyone that can assist (and get me brownie points) please!!

4.0-002 & 003 wont scan vm keeps getting error message TUNING FAILED FATAL 28.2 scans no problem
downgraded back to 2.2 009 scanned stright away with no errors

any ideas

[VU+ Duo2] Any Themes with over 20 Channels on Screen at Once?

Hi, I was wondering if you know of any way to get more than 20 channels to appear on screen at once in the Graphical EPG? Is there a paricular user interface I should be using to get that?

Don't know if this is the right place but could you please update the Magic HD Night skin so it looks good in 1080i. It looks really blurry in 1080i but looks good in 720p. Problem is that all UK channels air in 1080i so I don't want to downscale to 720p. Bit silly that I need to change the resolution to 720p just when looking at the EPG so the EPG can look good.

Hi,

Has anyone managed to get a picture through on this channel? I'm getting audio only.

I have a 4K TV and the Mega is supposed to have HEVC so I can't understand why there is no picture.

Hi can anyone help please. Trying to do a automatic channel scan on vu solo se (cable) with vix 4.2.030, however I get the following message and the scan will not start and eventually failes. Other than this the box is working fine with no problems but not being able to scan will bring bigger problems down the line. Thanks.

Channel list takes ages to load

Having had a uno4k receiver for a while now and had around 6 updates. Still the the channel list and epg is still leggy. It takes around 25-30 seconds to load. Any body know to to speed this up. I'm using the latest vix and using abm to 28.2. I would appreciate any ideas. My vu zero is faster than the uno4k

[TM-NANO-2-SUPER] Any easy way to select from list of VPN servers?

Hi all,

After a huge amount of effort over a long period I finally managed to set up OpenVPN to connect to my chosen VPN service and it works fine. I'm sure many others have already achieved similar success in this Herculean task. So far so good. :)

However, whereas on my PC or tablet or phone I can easily switch between the many different servers provided by my VPN supplier in many different countries (by selction from a nice, user-friendly dropdown list, with almost instant switching), it's very different on my E2 box. Here, if I want or need to change server, I have to go to my PC, load Filezilla, login to the box and replace the .conf file in /etc/openvpn/ with a different one and then restart openvpn! Unless I've missed something, of course.

I'm thinking to myself, surely there must be a better way, maybe through a plugin or script or something that could replicate what's available on other platforms? Unfortunately, despite trawling around a fair few sites I've not found anything which even vaguely matches the description.

Does anyone have any information, knowledge or opinions? I'd be keen to learn...

transcoding not working anymore

I did have transcoding working nicely some time before Christmas (Oct/Nov) but for the last few weeks I haven't been able to get it to work at all.

Using the Marusys 'official' VU android player I can stream fine, but as soon as i turn on transcoding, it simply refuses to connect. On this crappy player you cannot seem to select the transcoding port anyway so I am not surprised it doesn't work!

Using my preferred dream Player by Christian Fees, again I can connect and use it just fine when streaming, but after enabling transcoding, setting the port that I have forwarded on the router (8888), it just says it could not connect to the provided transcoding host and port.

I had trouble with openwebif before when they broke it with an update and I am wondering if one of the updates from before Christmas has broken it (again!) and it has still not been fixed?

The port must be forwarding correctly because otherwise the streaming/openwebif port (1222) wouldnt work either so it cant be my port forwarding (I tried changing transcoding to 1221 instead and that didnt help).

All of this is just trying to transcode it locally to try and make sure it works, but I was using it remotely previously and not it doesnt work at all.

For sale my trusty vu+ duo. Twin satellite tuner in used condition.

Purchased from world of satellite. Comes with original box, remote and receipt of sale.

Very good condition. Small scratch on roof of box. Remote has a few wear and tear marks. Otherwise in perfect working condition.

Does very occasionally hang at "starting" but this is a common issue when a USB pen is connected during startup. Only very occasionally this happens.

Never gave me any problems. Very reliable box. Currently running Vix 4.2.30

release.

[ABM-MISC] Deleting Duplicate Bouquets

I use Esettings+ to create and add IPTV channels as a bouquet to my bouquets list in ABM

Problem is that Esettings+ creates a duplicate bouquet for all the bouquets on my ABM

I have tried using "delete bouquets" option on ABM to delete non ABM bouquet but it also deletes the IPTV bouquet.

Please is there any other way to delete the duplicates.

Is is possible via OpenWebif?, if it is please can someone explain how as I've never used Openwebif.

SSD v HDD (Internal Option)

Afternoon All

Just a general question regarding adding an internal hard drive within a modern sat receiver for recording TV programs and epg data.

Are there any so called "performance" benefits be those, reliability, cost, or speed improvements when deciding on adding internal SSD or a standard HDD drive not least as the costs of SSD are not so prohibitive now as in the past.
