I have the ability to go with a sat or cable box. What would all you guys go with? Also what is the benefit of going for 2 cable dvb t tuners? I thought with cable you only needed one tuner connected and it could record multiple channels? Is this not the case

Error trying to download plugins
Hi folks
Anyone seen this before? I'm looking to download Kodi and doing so via Menu -> Plugins -> Green Button. However it just shows a screen saying "there has been an error, please try again later. If this issue persists, please check openvix.co.uk or http://www.world-of-satellite.com"

[OS-mini] No space left on device of Edison OS Mini
Hi,
this is my first post. I have tried to search for an answer but failed. My question may be extremely basic, so apologies in advance.
I am an end user of and Edison satellite receiver which decodes signals from a dish. Without changing any settings on my box, which was working perfectly, the box stopped showing signals.
There is a menu option to run a script called '/scripts/fixskybox.sh' which normally rectifies any glitches. On this occasion, it was unsuccessful and I can see clearly the problem appears to be related to no space being left on the device. Now, I do not have any recordings, which I store on an external memory stick. I suspect the memory that is full is on the box itself.
I do not want to do a 'factory reset', given that I bought this box off a supplier that configured all the satellite channel encodings, etc.
Any tips on freeing up memory?

Are Vu+ Models "Standard" Across Europe/UK?
Hi All,
Just wondering if the Vu+ models of receivers that are sold in European counties like France, Germany etc would work without issue in the UK? Also, if they have the satellite tuners like DVB-S/S2 already in them, are they also compatible to work in the UK as well?

[ABM-MISC] Where is the file that assigns channel numbers located for Auto Bouquet Maker ABM
Okay, so I have added my security cameras to the bouquets so they can be viewed as a channel on my solo 2.
I did this by creating a new autobouquet.tv file called userbouquet.camera.tv with my rtsp links in and also edited the main bouquets.tv file to add the userbouquet.camera.tv file label in, and ftping them to etc/enigma2 and then restart the box.
These camera streams now appear fine but they are located in the 4000s channel numbers (where the favourites channel numbers start).
I would like to make them start at channel number 9000. Could someone tell me how I can do this? There must be a file somewhere that assigns channel numbers to each bouquet section file.

[VU+ Zero] OpenVPN won't start
Further to my problems with OpenVPN on the SF4008 it now seems there is a problem with OpenVPN on the Zero with the latest update, it won't start from UI or telnet.

[VU+ Duo2] Excellent work
Hi guys,
just wanted to say thanks for all the great work put into the openvix image development.
the dvr functions in the latest image versions have been running perfectly without crashes, flaws, whatsoever.
so, i'm tempted to freeze the code on my duo2 because it's probably not getting better than this. :-)

swapping images from open ATV to Vix
looking to buy the octagon 4k, but noticed that it comes with open ATV etc image. when vix image is out would it be easy to flash over OpenATV to Vix? or is there bootloaders to put n first

ET8500 IMG openvix issue with samsung smart remote control

We have bought Samsung UE55KU6470S television and we wanted to use the TV Samsung Smart Control TM1680A for tuner also, but we are not able to configure it. We tried many setup in TV, so tuner model is readable (as dreambox 500 hd, 500+, 7020HD, 7080HD, but also Vu+ duo, duo2, solo, solo2) but none of them is working.
Can anyone help which confirguration we should use, which tuner model we should use from listed by samsung?

Solo2 Expansion Options & Duo 2 Consideration Help Needed!
Hi All,
I have a Solo2 at the moment & am wondering what the expansion capabilities might be an option with this unit? I currently have two feeds going into it but commonly experience recording clashes which is annoying. I also have a spare satellite cable feed & terrestrial feed that I would like to use in order to expand the capabilities.
I understand that there is this Vu+ Turbo Tuner add on box but that only allows for terrestrial reception - is there a version from anyone that works with the Solo2 that also offers a satellite version? How about a twin version - one terrestrial & the other satellite - that would be ideal. What would be the best way for me to expand on the Solo 2 with the feeds I have?
My other option is to consider getting a Duo 2 which I understand might allow for 6 inputs/feeds at the back as I see three "removable plates" - is that correct? The only issue I have is that this is a really costly option as I believe they come with only a twin tuner as standard so I would have to fork out for a much more expensive Duo2 and then the additional tuners?
The final option I thought of was to get another Solo 2 on the classifieds but am concerned that this might cause issues with remote control commands and/or just general usage conflicts etc that as a novice, I might be unaware of & unable to understand/rectify.
I would really appreciate any help & advice and the best options to consider - please forgive any naivety on my part as I am just not that tech savvy on these matters!

Can't view titles when recorded
Hi am trying to watch some recordings I have on my box but I'm struggling to view them due to the titles been shrunk on the screen and you can't fully read then. How do you increase the size of the lines when viewing?

A/V jack output
I have a on old Hd ready Phillips flat panels TV. It doesn't have a HDMI port on it but instead this other connections for the Hd input.
I use an adapter so I can connect a HDMI lead to the TV but it doesn't transfer the sound.
On my vu duo I use the red/white audio out and connect it to the audio in jack on the TV.
It works fine that way. I get HD and working sound.
I've just sold my duo and was considering the Os mini to replace it
I'm just concerned that il be able to get the sound from the A/V jack that's supplied with the box.
Will it still output sound from the jack when it's in HDmi mode.
Cam anyone test it for me. Would be much appreciated

[ViX_Misc] Gigablue HD X3 Wifi Issues on openvix-4.2.030
Hi , cant find this model in the Prefix , I recently bought a Gigablue HD x3 with the Wifi 300mb USB Option it came i think with Openvix 4.2.027 and Wifi worked perfectly running at 300mb and link quality was always around 100/100 so today i decided to update to 4.2.030 now the Wifi is not the same its speed is at 150mb and link quality only goes to 70/70 and its not very stable when watching now
anything i can do to get it how it was on previous build ?
