I am 99% certain that I have the same settings on all three boxes yet the zero is the only one that has "normal" results. The solo and uno put Sky News, ITV 2, 3 and 4 in "Secondary Channels".
Am I doing something wrong or is it just a quirk of the different boxes?
As the tile suggests, I cannot update Rytec Providers (noticed my EPG for non-standard channels was a bit light). When I try to update, I get an error saying "cannot connect to rytec sources". Currently on Vix 5.2.08
Sorry if this has been asked before but I am trying to access my box (OS Mio 4K) specifically Openwebif from a remote location. I am using Nord VPN and OpenVPN and used the setup script to get it installed on the box and it is running. Also using Openvix image. I am trying to access from a laptop and I'm in the US. I have the Nord app installed on the laptop and it's running and connected.
I enter the IP address of the box into the browser and it does not connect. I'm sure I am just missing something stupid. Any ideas? I am sure this is possible and being done every day.
Help, my Vu+duo2 has stopped working. I got an error message, Auto Timer, (Errno 28) No space left on device. I started to delete my auto timers but having deleted a few the box crashed and now will not start and will not flash.
On turning on the box shows Vu+ CFE V2 then the Double Your Expectations, the TV shows Vu+ Your Smart Linux TV Player for a few seconds then OpenVix please wait, after about 15 seconds the TV screen blanks for a few seconds then the spinning VIX sign, after 20 seconds or so the VIX stops spinning and then the box shuts down.
I have tried unplugging the internal drive and removing the USBs. I have tried flashing with my usual USB and others, re formatted, re loaded the image but it never gives me the upgrade message.
I am thinking about buying either a portable or external hardrive for my zgemma H7. I know it has an internal HDD slot but i have a lot of movies and stuff to store. (internal 2.5inch are quite expensive)
Want to get like 2tb or 4b portable oe external hardrive that stays plugged into my receiver.
Just purchased a usb 3 128gb usb stick but the box is refusing to format using int harddrive it just sticks at 95 / 100. Stick in pc and formated and still the same. Any ideas?
Guide how to move image to Micro SD card and
boot from Micro SD card for larger Flash Size.
This is particularly useful in the Zgemma H9 series (H9S, H9T, H9.2S & H9.2H) due to the 256MB flash, moving image from NAND flash to Micro SD card will allow the installation of both Kodi and QT Stalker and many other plugins and give you a much larger flash size. 8GB Class 10 Micro SD card recommended.
This guide is written for OpenViX, SD card booting was implemented in OpenViX release build 5.2.029, all credits go to Twol from OpenViX Team adding this feature.
For the purpose of this guide we have used a 8GB Class 10 Micro SD Card and Zgemma H9 series receiver newly flashed with OpenViX 5.2.029, basic setup with no extra plugins.
Power off the device and insert your Micro SD card.
Power on the device.
Once booted initialise the Micro SD card. Menu > Setup > Storage > Initialize Devices > Select your Micro SD card > Press OK > Press Green to initialise.
Once complete exit all screens and reboot your receiver. Once re-booted, press Blue button > ViX > you’ll now see H9SDcard Manager.
Once re-booted, press Blue button > ViX > you’ll now see H9SDcard Manager. h9sdcardmanager.jpg
Select H9SDcard Manager and press OK.
You will now see the screen below, press Green button to prepare your SD card, this will copy the root image files to your SD card. Be patient will take a few minutes. Once complete the terminal information output window will close and go back to the screen below. Now Press Red button to reboot. IT IS IMPORTANT TO DO THIS REBOOT SO THAT THE NEWLY PREPARED MICRO SD CARD IS RECOGNISED FOR BOOTING PURPOSES. h9sdcardmanager2.jpg
Once rebooted go to Menu > Standby and Restart > H9SDroot. h9sdroot.jpg
Select H9SDroot and press OK, you’ll now see the screen below. h9sdroot2.jpg
Press Yellow button to Swap boot to Micro SD card, your receiver will now reboot and boot into Micro SD card image. If you need to boot back to NAND flash from SD card, as above but press Green to Swap boot to NAND flash.
Once booted go to Menu > Information > Memory, you will now see the large size flash and free flash size. We have installed both KODI and QT Stalker plugins and have 6.4GB free with a 8GB Class 10 Micro SD card. You’ll now be able to enjoy more free flash. h9sdflashsize.jpg
Finally a few small notes. We’d recommend that once you’ve booted to SD card to only use the SD boot image. Online updates work as they should, but can get out of sync if trying to keep both nand image and SD card image updated, certain files are shared from NAND to SD, therefore we’d recommend only to use SD card image boot once booted to SD card. Note that it is currently not possible to Couch flash or USB flash an image direct to Micro SD Card. You can back up settings and plugins that can be restored to a SD boot image if ever needed to restore a backup.

When you subscribe to CD in scandinavia you get their new SatCR LNB for free. Thats the good news. The bad news is it comes with basically no spec. It is not in the list of choosable unicable/JESS LNB and their is not enough information available to make a userdefined LNB
However it will work if you choose manufacture DUR SAT (Durline) and model UK124
A tuner definition looks like
Tuner X
Configuration mode: Advanced
Satellite: 0.8W
LNB: LNB 1
Priority: Auto
Type of LNB/Device: SCR(Unicable/Jess)
Manufacturer: DUR SAT (durline)
Model: UK124
Position: 1
Channel: User band x (xxxx)
Connected: Yes
Connected to: Tuner Y (one with wire attached)
DiSEqC mode: None
Force legacy signal stats: No
got this harmony 350 remote and trying to set up my VU+duo on it but no luck i have put the manufacturer as VU+ and the model number as DUO as it shows in the logitech database, its not responding to any buttons on the remote,
i have also added other devices in the remote and all are working .
can any one point me if they are using the 350 with vu+duo and what settings they are using.
thanks
Finally got around to trying this and I've got it uploaded.
I might have overwritten ATV by accident, but I don't need a dual boot setup.
My system is 28.2E and 9.0E feeding into an EMP Centauri Multiswitch. Port A = 28.2E. Port B = 9.0E.
Here are the screen grabs of my tuner configuration - can someone explain why I can't see 9.0E with the predefined KA-SAT. The LNB is a Triax Twin KA TKT001 LNB. I also cannot obtain a signal now with the dummy frequency of 10.765 V.
Just thought I'd share my results with some media playback test I've been doing.
Set up my H9.2H with to boot from SD Card, see here. Done this so I have 8GB flash with SD card, install loads of plugins.
Setup Kodi, I've got a massive media library on NAS drive on a Gigabit network. Recently started collecting some 4K movies. Broadcom based receivers struggle to play many files depending how they're encoded.
I've briefly played every movie in my 4K collection, ALL play smooth! H9 Series have 10/100 ethernet ports, but ALL these movies playback excellent and smooth. screenshot_20190224063125.jpg
