Hi,
at the moment I have the Ultimo4K as my main box but I need (better want) a new toy. I thought about the Duo4K because it might be faster but I would like to have DTS downmix. What is the fastest/best box (with DTS downmix)?

I am trying to setup my Formuler F1 to use free to air, Freesat
and I need a walkthru how to setup the EPG, as I do not have
internet access to the F1 will EPG automatically load from a
broadcasted channel, any assistance required would be great

H7s Triple tuner , recording FTA

Hi Im experiencing some difficulty , if I record a program from Free-Sat like something off Channel4 ,lets say ,, a half doze other channels deteriorate , like the signal is not strong enough ,, ie. horizontal lines going across screen .. Horror ch , Blaze , . Stop recording and the channels return to normal , Line free, top quality ???
I have tried Edision OS Mega on same two feeds (dual CT100 ) and no problems ,, my knowledge is limited but is this a hardware or software problem ?? All firmware is up to date and running latest fresh install build...
anyone else came across this ?
Any input would be appreciated if there are any settings to get round this?

I would like some guidance as I don't know anything with these boxes like the ZGemma . I have a good internet connection and wonder if this new ZGemma box would be good for me I have been told that I have to have a provider as wel as the box . Please help and guide.

OScam Flex Installer

I have a Vu+ Duo currently on Openvix 4.2.028 and CCcam 2.30 my NC+ card was clearing fine and they sent an FEDC update to the card. I was told to install OScam Flex and that would clear the card again. I now have the OScam flex installer in my plug ins I then pressed the green button to download Mipsel then yellow button select FEDC it then installed I then pressed yellow button for arm and selected the yellow button for FEDC. Everything installed from the tmp file and my box restarted. When I got into softcam manager I just see CCcam 2.30, I take it I should see OScam in here then select to use it?

Anyone offer any assistance really stuck at the moment............

watching HD MPEG-4 stations

Hi all

In the VU+ Solo2 factsheet I read under video decoding MPEG-2, MPEG-4 compatible.
However when I do a manual scan on one of the stations sending HD with MPEG-4 I don't get them. The choice of modulation only allows
QPSK, 8PSK, 16APSK,32APSK.

Sample station

RTV San Marino
Position 13E
Beam Wide
Frequency 12149 V
System DVB-S MPEG-4
SR 27500 FEC 3/4

Do you have a clue what I have to change to get these stations?

Hello everyone,,
I'm not sure this is the right place to post/ask this, but I'll give it a shot.

My old trust esteed HTC WFS has been replaced about a year ago and has been sleeping in an "abandoned gadgets" basket under my desk. I've just had the birght idea to use it as a secondary notification screen next to my set up but I am not sure what the pitfalls of this idea might be.

So the premise is to use IFTTT or Llama to control the active hours on the phone automatically - sound profiles, wifi connection etc. and to have it permanently plugged in.

The idea is still very vague and unfinished but I feel like there's potential good use hidden inside this oldie but a goodie.

So, how do you put your old Androids to good use?

Hello everyone,,
I start with the goal of make my own kernel and OS. So, I start reading the book: "Writing a simple Operating System" by Nickby Blundell, because is a clean book and easy way to start (IMO). By the way, the book work with a 32 bits architecture. But, I want to go for a 64 bits os.

I have 2 simple and basic questions:

should I start for a 64 bits os or go first for a 32 bits?

should I pay attention to the Bootloader or I just should use a tool to convert an hd booteable and then use GRUB and concentrate only on the kernel?

Hello everyone,,
I am new to the current satellite scene, used to working with sats about 20 years back and worked as TV service engineer. At that time had 1 metre dish, 80cm and 60cm dish and was based in Channel Islands. Nowadays am settled in East Yorkshire and retired. Have a few receivers to play with including Protek 9760, Amiko Alien, Blade 5000 etc and been using old sky dish. Looking to upgrade dish to either 60 or 80cm and was thinking of setting up feeds on 28.2/23.5/19.2. Wondering if they are good positions to set up for to cover European FTA feeds. Toying around with idea of monoblock LNB for 23.5/19.2 and twin for 28.2 on 80cm dish. Is that feasible for a set up?

Potential of KI Pro

Hello everyone
I have a gigablue hd quad plus running openvix and am pretty happy with it.
My caravan satellite has given up the ghost and i was thinking of getting the KI Pro as it is Android 7, has terrestrial and satellite tuners, kodi and so on.
My concern is the apparent limited capability of recording and scheduling and i dont think it will be able to do what an openvix twin tuner would.
I have seen that it can run libreelec from a USB stick to possibly give more options but i am struggling to work out exactly what that is capable of.

So my thought was that if it can run libreelec, could it run enigma / openvix?....and if so could it do it from a USB stick?

Any thoughts appreciated

NowTV + Duo2

hi guys, I'm moving into a non-cable area and don't use any S%y channels except the sports channels so I'm looking for alternatives.

It looks like NowTV offer a sports pass for £20/month but I want to be able to use this on my Duo2/ Amazon v2 box or Shield TV.

Any ideas if this is possible? if yes, how?

I don't want to be buying yet another box just for NowTV.

Enigma2 Python Plugin select a Satellite TV Channel

Hi All,

I have a Technomate TM-Nano-SE M2 Plus running OpenPLi. I have managed to create a basic plugin in Python that just shows GUI with a label and a list.

I would like to be able to select TV channels (Which would be displayed in this list). I have read a bit about the self.session.nav.playService() function however i'm not sure how to use it. What python module is this function from and what arguments does it take?

For now I just want to be able to pass this function a channel number but in the future would be looking to have access to the list of channels stored on the receiver so that i can display them in the list.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

WLAN and HDD

Hi , guys

Been using the box for just over a fortnight and must say I'm very happy with the box, it's speed and picture quality are great.

But I do have 2 small niggles

1. WLAN , I have configured the WLAN using a dongle previous in use on my NANO 3T , set up no problem , but it seems to drop the connection as soon as I use E-Channeliser or try to FTP to the box, the only way to re-establish connectivity is to 're-start' the network via the menu

2. I had a 1Tb internal disk fitted by WOS , again no problems , recording playback etc all fine , except it seems to be configured as an 'external' drive!

So I was wondering if?

The WLAN dongle and HDD are clashing on the USB 'bus' and if I re-configured the HDD as an internal drive if this would sort out the issue

Else I could just buy a longer LAN cable and hard wire the box to the router

Any help or thoughts greatly appreciated
