Recording IPTV stream
I have the latest vix image 5.3.009 when I record IPTV stream it records OK but when I fast forward then press play it starts back to the beginning of the recording.
When I had a earlier vix image 5.3.003 I think it was it was OK any ideas any one
I am using Jedi maker xtream v5.21 for IPTV stream

[Wanted] Enigma 2 box for cable
Looking for one. Obviously cheaper than what can be bought new. Possibly with twin DVB-C tuners. Prefer older moder HD2400, xtrend 10000k with hardware transcoding. But anything will be considered as long support for software is still available.

[OS-mio+] key ButtonSetup and error with debug background
Hi guys, I debuted the current image, and I'm having a rather annoying background error, it repeats every 120 sec approx.

AGC gone from 80 to 2, should I be worried.
When I last had a problem with my setup, which turned out to be the skew, the AGC was around 80 (both before and after I adjusted the skew).
A few days ago we lost the signal for about 30 seconds (wasn't raining, and rain doesn't usually affect it anyway unless it's a cloudburst), haven't lost it since.
Looking at random channels over the past few days , the AGC is always the same, it's only 2% compared to the 80% it used to be at.
Since I last fixed my skew problem until a few days ago, I hadn't bothered checking the signal strength as everything was working fine.
Should I be worried with only 2% AGC (it's more that it used to be 80% that's made me query it), or should I simply put loosing the signal down to a fluke with the weather?
My SNR is now also always 100%.
(I am running vix 5.2.043, not the latest version)

Being a bit thick, cant find IEPG data1
Just upgraded ViX, before I download crossepg, I thought I'd give the new (well new to me) one a go.
Have followed the guide, but I have no channel anywhere with iepg in it (tried last scanned, tried selecting satellites as per the guide etc, still can't find it.
ABM is set to Sky FTA only (prefer their guide as I get channel 4 HD)
What stupid thing am I doing please?

Red hd skin menu hilight bar
Hi just getting back to sat after ill health so setting up most recent image and was wondering why there is no highlight bar on recordings menu I know it states on left what your selecting but you can see what appears to be an extremely faint bar 20191112_235036.jpg yet the bar on menu settings is fine. 20191113_000104.jpg cannot seem to get images correct way around sorry

[VU+ Ultimo4K] Completely clean install.
I am trying to make a perfectly clean install of Openvix. I have problems with the settings of the Unicable setup. I don't need advice on that subject (many thanks). Somehow the fresh installs and updates are getting corrupted.
I have tried a Factory Reset but no luck.
The only request I have is to leave the movies etc. on the HDD untouched.
What I would like help with is : how do I get a squeaky clean, virgin, untouched install of the latest Openvix?

VM knock at door
Hi all
my daughter rang me today at work to tell me that a vm services guy had called at my home, he asked my daughter if he could into my home because he thought that this address may have equipment attached to the cable feed that was causing outages to the street, my daughter let him in, to which this guy has pulled my av cabinet out and removed a splitter from my router also the cable to my ultimo 4k the message that was left is, tell your parents this address will be monitored, he also said he would know if the equipment is reconnected, also tell them they will receive a visit very shortly to ensure things are what they should be, please be warned, has any one else had such a experience,

Frequent box freezing requires power cycle
Hello,
For a couple of weeks my box freezes occasionally and doesn't respond to remote control input nor provide the OpenWebif pages, it displays the circling 'Vix' icon in the top left corner. I have to power cycle via the rocker switch to gain control of it. It will then work okay for a while. I have not spotted a pattern in when it happens.
As the software doesn't crash it doesn't come up with the message about a log being created.
Is there anywhere I can look to see what might be happening; Disk analysis, memory analysis etc?
Any other advice also welcome, re-flash, revert to previous version etc.
Some details of my box:
Brand & Model: Vu+ Duo²
System OE: OE-Alliance 4.3
Firmware version: OpenViX 5.3.009 (2019-10-29)
Kernel / Drivers: 3.13.5 / 20190429

[VU+ Duo2] wont fast forward or rewind anything
when I view a recording on Vix image 5.3.010 it keeps going back to the beginning ive tried changing all the settings but nothing works. I love vix but this issue is annoying. can anyone help please tried all the key forward and rewing using the numbers also.

[VU+ Duo2] Flashing a newer image - is everything deleted?
I updated my Openvix image in early September and saw a message telling me that the update to 5.2. something-or-other would be the last of that 5.2 series. It's been running fine until a few days ago when the blue spinner began appearing. The only two add-ons I have are DreamPlex and XTreamTV. XTreamTV is now not working any more, i.e. it will not validate.
But before I flash my VU+ Duo2 with Openvix 5.3. something-or-other (I have never done such a flash before), and after making a backup using dreamboxEdit), I would like to know whether - after flashing 5.3 from the USB stick - I will then have to get my dear son-in-law to set up DreamPlex and XTreamTV for me again, or are they kept in place? Or is all the necessary information and plugins etc in the backup I make using dreamboxEdit ?
Or could the XTreamTV problem be caused by something else ? My son-in-law also uses it with the same type VU+ and from the provider and his is working fine.

[CrossEPG-Sources] Is it possible to use OpenTV source for IPTV
I'm trying to work out if its possible to use the EPG data from satellite to populate on IPTV channels - the channels i need are on 28.8 so i know i have access to the EPG data, how can I match it up?

[VU+ Solo2] Since 5.3 Media Portal wont update.
Hi All,
I already made a similar post in the Solo2 section without reply, so in case I have posted in the wrong section I am posting here, I apologise in advance if I am wrong to re-post but I am just looking for confirmation if it is my settings or not.
Since updating to Vix 5.3 a few weeks ago media portal will not update, I flashed over the internet (not USB) and restored my settings after the update.
I am now on Vix 5.3.010 but since 5.3.001 if I download Media Portal from the Vix plugins (2019102701)...media portal only worked with some feeds and after I got an online update notification and after installing that update I couldn't open any feeds. BTW I also have MPGZ installed (2019101401)
I have tried downloading and installing media portal from other sources, I have installed using ipk installer and also via telnet, so tried various methods.
I am not sure if it is a my setup because I did an online update and updated my setting after 5.3.001 or a plugin problem, but the next step would be a fresh no settings install, so I am just looking for confirmation that anyone else is having this problem or it is just me.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Suggested LNB for GigaBlue UHD Quad 4K
I want to get a Sky Q type setup done and I am thinking of purchasing a GigaBlue UHD Quad 4K, however I don't know what LNB I would need to get this box to record 5/6 recordings at once or how many satellite tuner inputs I would need to make this happen. Any suggestions / answers would be much appreciated.
