Entering text using external USB keyboard is not possible. Even though the layout is language independent (always US, or is it possible to add more layouts?) it's very handy in renaming recordings etc.
Only special keys like backspace, enter etc, work. Letters and numbers do not. Debug log shows that keypress is detected but it is not detected as an input for a character. This used to work with my Duo2 back on 5.1 series images. With duo4k it didn't work with 5.2.045 either.

I searched and seems there has been similar issues with a few other boxes but have been fixed in later images...

Hi Guys not sure if correct place to post.
But id like to create or edit the epg data as i have many channels that are just vod streams as you can see from the images below, what id like to do is create info for all the vod streams like title,description,poster/picon etc.
So i have john wick on channel 717 which currectly has no data attached to it.
I currently use epg importer to get my iptv epg data.
Theres a epg.dat file in media/hdd which i cant open is the data written here from epg importer

Hi
My z7+ box i bought from world of satellite.com, how do I tell if its a provider or unlocked box ?
I ask because I downloaded an apk and when I click on it to install it says cant open file.
I have tried deleting and downloading again to no avail.
Can anyone help please ?

I have a Gigablue UHD UE 4k running in my lounge and is mainly used to watch German FTA on Astra 19.2
The good lady wife wants to be able to watch this from another room.
I am going to have to use the client / multi room facilities of the Gigablue as there is no satellite cabling available. Happy to connect over wifi or Power Line LAN
Is it worth seeking out a Gigablue X1 or X2, which seem pretty rare from a quick Google,
Or is there any other box that people would recommend to run as the client?
Don't really want to go over £100 or to high spec

Hi,
I'm looking for a bit of help.
My set up is a Vu solo2 with a motorised dish on one tuner and a fixed sky minidish on the other. For the past 4/5 months I have had a "Tune failed" sporadically happen. It can do so for 20 minutes and then come back on or if I change channel and change back it can kick it into action. Usually it happens at night time (21:00 - 22:30)
I know for sure it only happens on the fixed dish connection and it doesn't start working by switching the feed to the other dish. The signal is good: (SNR: 97%/AGC: 82%) and there is nothing like a tree waving around blocking the signal.
I realise it seems like a dodgy connection but I have checked that a few times too, plus it happens on both cables (I have two cables running from the fixed dish but only use one of them)
Is there anything which might cause this scenario or anything else I can investigate to establish the cause?

My friend has just bought a OCTAGON SF8008 4K UHD Linux Enigma 2 2160p H.265 HEVC Dual Wifi Multi-Stream DVB-S2X & DVB-C/T2 Combo Receiver which only has one satellite tuner, his previous sat box had two tuners and was connected to a dual LNB with the two satellite cables (28.2). He got the DVB-C/T2 for terrestrial viewing.
Does he now need a diseqc switch to be able to connect the two satellite cables and then set up the tuner config accordingly. This is so he is able to record and watch another channel at the same time.

Hi All,
Could anyone confirm if it is possible to change and/or delete the items on the 2searchporn page of MediaPortal using DCC and then FTP the changes back to the solo2 and if it is possible what is the name and/or path of the file?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi the last 4 h9s boxes i have purchased i have not been able to reflash with open atv red logo flashes but wont boot up tried flashing with open vix and thats ok ive never had a issue before and ive purchased a few in the past as something changed with them.

Hi, i've been having a few problems of late concerning a few channels on 13e. The main one is canal+sport 2. canal+ sport works but not 2. I'll have signal at 70% snr and 100% quality according to signal finder but then it pixelises and drops out. Ive got a duo with disceq and have done all the usual things such as changing all the wires, even went and bought an ultra black lnb (which id wanted for a while anyway lol) and whilst its improved the quality its still dropping out. Other channels on the canal+ are working perfectly. There are other channels dropping out as well. I thought it may be down to the weather but this has been ongoing for 3 weeks now. Can anyone help please?
