[Zgemma H9S] ZGemma H9S OpenWebif remote button press do wrong functions

The zgemma remote via OpenWebif is not working correctly. When some buttons are pressed, it performs the wrong actions.

I am hoping this could use the correct zgemma remote (the one's that came with the H2S/H2H) and tested, as whenever I press a button it will do something else. I have the latest Wi-Fi model which now come with new remote.

Have RTFM and searched the forum for a decode of the Infobar icons and symbols eg the gaggle of letters at the left hand end of the info bar when pressing, on my machine, OK twice. Plus all the stuff at the right hand end.

[VU+ Ultimo4K] Possible memory leak, need help on how to figure it out

Hi,

I recently set up my Ultimo4K from scratch as I was getting crashing issues every few days.

  • System OE: OE-Alliance 4.3
  • Firmware version: OpenViX 5.3.039 (2020-07-19)
  • Kernel / Drivers: 3.14.28 / 20190424
  • OWIF: 1.4.0


Unfortunately this did not help, I can still observe the memory reaching capacity via the top command every few days. It will then eventually crash. Prior to a fresh install I replaced the HDD.

The device is also used for development as I maintain the pvr.vuplus (Enigma2) add-on for kodi so there will be a lot of use via OpenWebIf, both for the XML APIs and streaming server.

I'm not sure exactly when this started but I could use some guidance on how to track down what causes this. Outside of occasionally manually updating OpenWebIf with fixes I would not know too much about the enigma2 internals. For all I know the memory usage pattern is expected and the issue lies somewhere else!

P.S.

I should add that the Ultimo4K has 2xDVB-S2 FBC tuners and a DUAL DVB-T2 tuner. It is configured via ABM for both Freesat and Saorview in Ireland. This is the only configuration applied since the fresh install. The saorview channels appear as part of the freesat bouquets using a custom mix file. All EPG data is embedded in the stream.

[GiGaBlue UHD UE 4K] Tuner configuration with a Triple Quad LNB & Switch

Hi All,

I have this Triple Quad LNB: https://www.canaldigitaal.nl/apparat...iple-lnb-quad/
It's 1 LNB for the 19.2E / 23.5E / 28.2E and it has 4 outputs.

In the beginning I just connected 1 cable to just 1 of the outputs, put the tuner config in Simple Disecq A/B/C/D and that works just fine.
But it only uses 1 tuner, so I can't record from 19.2E and 28.2E at the same time.

So I have a Spaun SAR 411 WSG, 4 cables to each of the LNBs outputs and 1 cable to the Gigablue.
I does work with 1 tuner (but it seems very slow) and I can't get the other tuners to work at all.
Can someone help me out on setting this up right?

Updated from 5.2 to 5.3.039 but that didn't help. If I select the auto function it only detects 1 LNB 19.2E and that's it.

Hi all

i currently have a zgemma h7s, i only bought it to see if we could survive without paid tv( we can) but wondering should i upgrade to a vu+ box?

I need a dvb-t2 tuner as well as the satellite ones (for saorview in ireland). Which boxes can meet that requirement and would i see any benefits?

Trouble downloading Xtreamplugin 2.3

I have a Solo2 and over the weekend my provider changed the plugin from 1.1 to 2.3 and I have had trouble getting it working.

I have used DCC and also putty with the same results and was hoping I could get some help to confirm if it my Solo2 or the providers download.

The attached picture is from a DCC attempt if that helps.

Looking for a bit of advice

Had my VU DUO now for several years with no problems.

It now has latest image available which was installed several months ago.

I recently installed a netgear network switch so instead of a single ethernet connection direct from router it now gets its connection via the netgear which also supplies the tv and a firestick. At the same time.
Due to more socket capacity required I am using a surge protector power strip to connect DUO, TV, Soundbar and Netgear switch and also a USB supply to firestick (the surge protector has 2xUSB 5V).

Since re cabling the VU DUO keeps rebooting at random intervals for no apparent reason and when I plugged directly into a wall socket this behaviour continued.

Can anyone throw light on what might be happening to cause this.

timeshift subtiles disappear?

hi was originally on build vu solo 2 receiver and use subtitles a fair bit and have now upgraded to image 5.3.039 and now notice that the subtitles don`t carry on when timeshift is used but was working originally on an older image cant remember which as was over a year old and finally bit the bullet to upgrade image?
basically have to switch off and then back on again to enable everytime timeshift is used?
have i missed something at all?
hope someone can help?

New Diseqc Motor - different dish bracket angle problem

Hi guys,

After 8 years my Dark Motor gave up the goose the other day so i bought a new TM2600m3 from WOS.

i was hoping it would be an easy swap over, but unfortunately the dish angles different on the two motors - on the dark motor it was 27.5 and it's 5 degree different on the TM2600 making it 22.5. I had it set closer to 30 previously to be honest as it was as far as it would go - unfortunately it's still as far as it will go as the bracket on the dish at the top is pushed up against the motor bracket and without cutting a large chunk away (which i'd already done for the previous motor) it would tilt back to 22.5 degrees.

Presumably there's no way around this and i'm going to have to cut up the bracket a bit more? I'm just a bit worried about how rigid it'll be at the end of it.

Hi all,

As mentioned above this is to let you, and possible future interested persons, know how easy this was, especially with all the info found here in the forum.
So. thank you for all the helpful info.


Bought 2x GT-Sat GT-S1DCSS24 LNB's from our sponsor last Sunday. Today it already was delivered.
Took old LNB's off (1x 19,2 and 1x 28,2) > placed new LNB's > On Ultimo4K (with 2x FBC-tuner cards) made the, here mentioned, changes to the Tuner Config for all the available tuners A-P > Continue to watch TV.
All in all it took maybe 25 minutes.
I now have the freedom to do multiple recordings and watch another program if I want, without being "hampered" by the blockage (H/V) I had with the normal LNB's. Perfect !

The only thing I want to mention, is that I also experienced the same AGC-drop as mentioned in a previous "AGC gone from 80 to 2, should I be worried." thread.
The answer, as also mentioned there, is: no.
Signal still shows 100% on 28,2 and around 80% on 19,2 and all programs are there without problem.

So thanks again to all the people on this and other fora/forums?, for getting all the info and providing it here for all our benefit.

[CrossEPG-Other] Problem timed download

Hi,
I setup my Duo4K to use NTP as time source. I setup CrossEPG to download EPG at 5pm.

Problem is that my Duo4K has no network connection when I start the box. The network is active around 60 seconds later. With this setup CrossEPG tries to download at very different times depending on the start time of my box. Once it was 9:30pm once even a bit later.

Yep, the daisy chaining is what I attempted to do. Worked for 28.2 but not 13E. Might go back to factory settings and try again.

The card is Tivusat. My wife is Italian. In Italy they abolished the payment of an annual TV licence - which entitles you to a tessera / tv card - and replaced it a few years back with adding a monthly charge to your electricity bill.

ITV 4 HD is no longer clearing on sky 28.2 but SD is fine.
ITV2 HD & ITV3 HD are fine.

Therefore could it be removed from the "swaps" section please

Hi,

I have a zgemma h9 combo. I can't get it to go on auto standby with iptv. I'm using openvix and on Stalkar, Xsteamity and Jedi it won't shut of. I think I might need a plugin for iptv auto standby is there one. Can anyone please help?
