[ViX_Misc] 5.4 001 VPS plugin. Bootloop

I tried installing 5.4.001 last night -downloaded and flashed via 5.3.039 Image Manager, restored settings and plugins but ended up with a crash-reboot sequence. Lousy shot of the error message attached.

To recover, I performed my first USB flash (look for the press power-button message on the front panel, not the TV screen, doh!) so I don't have logs for 5.4.001.
Hope this is of use. I probably wont be allowed to break the machine until seriously off-peak hours but let me know if I might be able to help debug.

VU DUO Replacement Advice
Hi
My VU-DUO has given good service untill recent I have again changed capacitors due to red spot and intermittant crashing, non starting etc.
Was wanting advice on what would be a suitable replacement preferably one that doe not suffer red spot syndrome. all advice appreciated.

[ViX_Misc] 5.4 crash
Ive found a bug in 5.4.
My menu/setup mode is normally set to simple.
I tried to set up an FTP password, after upgrading to 5.4. The option isnt there. All thats there is Device or Utilities. Selecting Utilities will trigger a crash. Selecting Logs, will trigger a crash.
Now heres the twist. Change menu/setup mode to Expert, and it all works fine, password is there and no crashes when selecting the menu items mentioned before.

Recording indicator
I use vuuno4kse, Simple_Ten_Eighty skin and new 5.4 image.
In root/usr/share/enigma2/Simple_Ten_Eighty/epg you find RecordingEvent.png, but when you select recording in crossepg you get still the the same old red R letter. How to take this RecordingEvent.png in use?

[ViX_Misc] Help - using Unibox HD eco+
HI - Just started using this older sat box but notice that it often freezes. I assume that my image build is the latest and the only one I can use? If this is not the case I need a pointer on what to use.
Also I see no plug ins are availble for soft cams etc. IS this correct? The box is only 3 years old and I am resistant to to getting a new box in the present climate as I have been made redundant - so no spare cash.
Also I want to learn and play so starting with this box seems a good way to start.
Please point me in the right direction

my tv does NOT work
box arrived yesterday,for 4 hours mytv failed to log in,witj messages of try again,5 hours later logln success :confused::confused:but live tv not working,gives message,get live tv data failed,try again,vod gives error happened,try again later,24 hours later and many factory resets,still the same :mad: ticket raised yesterday but no responce.

As per the title, unable to mount network drives on 5.4.001.
Settings work fine on 5.3.039 (CIFS - FSTAB)
Tried it on several different boxes with same result.

I have my boxes on the same LAN and used to be able to watch recordings from each HDD on other boxes. When I did a network scan it would pick-up everything on the LAN such as computer, iPhone, iPad etc. but since upgrade it only finds my modem and router. I can still access boxes from my computer but not from each other. Interestingly I have to disable DHCP and enter IP addresses manually.
Any help much appreciated.

BT Youview replacement
Hello all,
New to the forum as a poster and am looking to replace my BT Youview box and as much of its functionality as possible plus more with a device capable of recording 2 or more programs at a time, being able to pause, rewind and fast forward live transmissions and ideally have an app to remotely setup recordings we forgot when away.
I have been looking at the GigaBlue UHD UE 4k or GigaBlue UHD Quad 4k which appears to have the abilities required but not 100% sure plus also has Sat > IP which sounds interesting as we could then watch stuff on other devices around the house. We have cat6 wired to all rooms and also have 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wireless available too. We also have a triax TMS32 in the attic sending both Terrestrial and Satellite signals to all rooms.
Two rooms have 4k Sony TV 55-KDx8509C and 43-KDx8309C respectively and a couple of older HD TVs in other rooms (not smart!)
Any suggestions, ideas, experience much appreciated. We want to be able to cancel BT Youview before the end of the month so need to replace before that time!

[GiGaBlue UHD QUAD 4K] 2160p Video Output to 4K Sony Projector
I'm using the Freesat UHD 3840 x 2160p50 signal directly fed into a Sony VPL-VW590ES 4K projector. I've had to set the video settings manually as the GB didn't want to pass in Auto. So set to 2160p, multi refresh, bt2020cl and 12 bit.
Sony info shows 3840x2160/50p YCbCr 4:2:2 and BT. 2020.
So it seems to work, but needs manual intervention to pass to projector.
And also works brilliantly through the audio visual receiver. And relief that 10m Active Optical Cable works well.
So I guess I just have to adjust the Gigablue manually?? Not that it really matters as there are only 1 or 2 Freesat 4K channels that I can get!!

C120 Unicable and quad port Unicable LNB
Hi,
Is there a C120 Unicable LNB available?
I am also looking to replace the Sky LNB with a 4 port Unicable (not Hybrid) LNB, if one such exists.
Or can I run Sky Q off a combination 1 FBC port + 1 of the normal ports and use the other FBC port for the Gigablue receiver?
I am trying to avoid installing a 3rd dish.
