[VU+ Uno4KSE] OpenVix 5.4 Numerical text input not working
Hi i have a question about the numerical text input not working anymore only the VirtualKeyboard is working.
The numerical buttons have been locked and dont respond anymore.
I understand that some like the Virtual keyboard very much but i see no good reason why the numerical input have been locked out?
If i upload the ConfigList.py from OpenVix 5.3 all works just fine but of cause then i have revert back all keys to old style.
I really hope that this can be worked out so we can choose how to input text again :)

[VU+ Uno4KSE] Favourite Bouquets Mish Mash
The new OpenVix 5.4
I wanted to use my channel list from the previous BlackHole image.
I used DreamboxEdit for this.
Download bouquets from BH, then after install new image OpenVix, I upload this same bouquets.
And the problems began.
After the reboot, the message "tuner settings are incorrect" appeared, although the first time after the installation, I did the tuner configuration and a new satellite scan which was fully successful.
Attempt to select bouquet - only some entries like ~ n/a ~
The new upload does not give any positive result.
Even I deleted the entire contents of the directory etc/enigma2 - and new upload - no improvement.
Anyone met with this? Is version 5.4 not compatible with channel lists loaded from dreamboxEdit?
Maybe some hints what I'm doing wrong?
ps. I can only do at night because during the day, the tuner is very busy so I'll try again tonight.

Help with Humax TN8000HD
I'm slowly getting my head around UniCable, both theory and practice. At the moment, all my LNBs are universal ones, some connected directly, some via DiSEqC switches to my kit. Now I have got a Ultimo 4K, I want to make full use of the FBC tuners. So I'm looking around my existing boxes to see if they have UniCable ability. Only two, both Humax! My Foxsat can have it enabled using the 'secret' menu, the other is my TN8000HD, which was bought as a TNTSat box.
I've used the Foxsat in the past with DiSEqC successfully, but am now using it with a conventional twin feed on Astra2. I think I'll be okay moving that over to UniCable. The TN8000HD is connected via a DiSEqC switch to four satellites which works okay. I have three options here: leave it as it is, 'UniCable' it, or pension it IF I could find out if it is possible to use Oscam to read the TNTSat card (not sure if is possible with VIX, although my Tivusat card is okay).
So I'm looking at option 2, which is why I'm posting here. (If Option 3 is feasible and can co-exist with the Tivusat card then please PM me.)
Having chosen English as my language option, the TN8000HD calls the connection 'OneCable System'. The manual is in French (which I could use Google to translate at a push). In the installation section, it implies that the connection could be a multi-satellite one. At which point I rethought about option 1.
Has anyone used a UniCable feed to the Humax TN8000HD, with just a single one to Astra 1 or even a multi-satellite job?

[GiGaBlue UHD QUAD 4K] GigaBlue and Sony Projector Not Playing.
This is a bit of a shaggy story about my AV system and I am not sure if it is an OpenVix issue or GigaBlue issue but for now I've posted just in this section.
I have 4 source boxes connected to Audio Visual Receiver - a Marantz NR1711 2020 with a single output which then goes through a Wyrestorm H2 splitter:
http://www.habitech.co.uk/Price+List...-H2.htm#rtabs3
The Wyrestorm has 4 indication lights. Red for the 5v external power source. Blue for the HDMI input from the AVR. And Blue for each HDMI output.
and then to Sony VPL-VW590ES PJ 2020 or TV - I have tried a Toshiba 32" HD 2013, Samsung 28" HD 2014 and LG 32" HD 2020. The reason for using the splitter is 2 fold. To downscale a 4K signal from GigaBlue and 4K Blu-ray to 1080p and to prevent needing to plug and unplug equipement - which is bad for the plugs and can damage kit through static electricity etc.
4 source boxes are Sony RDR-HXD770 Freeview Recorder/DVD player 2007, Panasonic 4K Blu-ray player couple of years old, Humax Foxsat HDR HD satellite recorder 2008 and GigaBlue UHD 4K satellite receiver 2020 - running OpenVix software.
HDMI CEC is switched off on everything, except the Sony PJ which doesn't have a setting. The GigaBlue has a complicated HDMI CEC menu if enabled, and there may be a setting in there that will solve the issue. It is disabled. I've also used a CEC disabling adapter lead and it doesn't make any difference to the results.
I have also checked the EDID files on each device. All accurately reflect when the equipment came into service. Except 1 item. The Sony 590ES which only went on sale a month or so ago. Its EDID is dated 2013. So not inspiring that the Sony EDID information is actually correct?? An experienced contributor has suggested on www.avforums.com
that it is an EDID issue.
From standby, a warm start, everything works correctly. But my system doesn't stay in standby - checked with a power meter and actually draws quite a few watts. So wasting wigglies and during the day switched off.
From total power off, cold start, it gets interesting. All boxes work correctly except the GigaBlue in 2160p and 1080p. On start up the GigaBlue displays the 1 or 2 start up "splash screens" at 1920 x 1080p on its internal small screen and on the TV - the "GigaBlue" screen and then the "OpenVix" screen. Then when the TV picture appears on the GigaBlue internal display, all TVs just display "no signal". Unplug and replug the Sony PJ HDMI at the PJ, and the picture appears. If the GigaBlue is set to its lowest setting of 1080i, then I get a picture. If set to 2160p I don't. The Wyrestorm H2 downscales to 1080p for the TVs.
So I think there is a conflict between the GigaBlue 2160p and Sony PJ. I think the issue is an HDCP issue between the GigaBlue and Sony PJ. And I have found 2 possible issues with the Sony:
1. From a cold start the Wyrestorm H2 blue indicator for the Sony PJ output comes on instantly - even with the Sony fully powered off/unplugged - and well before the TV output blue indicator, which only comes on when the TV goes into standby. I do not think this handshake should be happening with the projector fully unpowered??
When the system is up and running, unplugging the PJ HDMI lead the H2 blue indicator goes out. Replugging, and the H2 blue output indicator stays out and the TV picture appears. It doesn't reappear when the HDMI plug is put back in. Only at the next cold start.
2. The Sony PJ EDID also seems to be well out of date with a date of 2013 - as posted earlier. I attach the EDID for the Marantz and Sony PJ for a comparison??
So, I think the Sony is completing a circuit somewhere when power is put on the AV system even if the PJ is unplugged. The HDMI plug has, I believe, 5v power on pin 18. The CEC also has 3.3v on pin 13, but that is disabled by the CEC disable cable. And, I think this early circuit in the Sony is blocking the GigaBlue when it is in HD. I don't know what HDCP the GigaBlue is?? The Sony PJ, Wyrestorm H2 and Panasonic Blu-ray are all HDCP 2.2.
Any ideas would be really useful.

It does a backup and then restarts and then shows a crash error:
We are really sorry. Your receiver encountered a software problem....
Please send the logfile ....
I have added my email address and surname in the Log Settings
When I try and send the crash log I get Error: (Errno 111) Connection refused.
I have downloaded the image to a USNB and tried to upgrade with that and get the same issue.
How ould I resolve this?
Thanks Mark

I am unable to watch or record from more channels than I should
I am unable to watch or record from more channels than I think that I should be able to...
I am using a dual DVB-S2 tuner (00-1102709-01) with 2 cables plugged into it. However, when I am recording 1 or 2 encrypted channels from a single transponder frequency, I am able to watch only encrypted channels on the same transponder frequency or a few unencrypted channels on a different transponder frequency.
Shouldn't I be able to watch any other channel while something is being recorded from a certain transponder frequency?
It seems as if only the "Tuner A" is being used. I have tried to swap the cables, still only the "Tuner A" seems to be used all the time, despite any settings to prefer "Tuner B", either for watching, or for recording.
Might "Tuner B" be faulty? The cables seem alright.
I have read somewhere that the the conditional-access module should be able to decrypt as many as 4 encrypted channels, but the statement may have been valid for an older version of the conditional-access module.
Would it help if I added another dual DVB-S2 tuner with another pair of cables?
Or am I hitting some decryption limit?
There has been no message about no free tuners, or anything to that effect. Just black screen and no sound.
I am using OpenViX 5.4.001.

FTP / Echannelizer and DCC login
Hello,
I have just purchased a Zgemma H7S preloaded from World Of Satellite using openvix 5.3 and trying to set it up. I cannot get into the box when trying to FTP/DCC/Echannelizer, telnet works on putty but FTP doesn't. I cannot understand why I cannot get it. Host is correct as per my box ip address, I am using the Username root as usual, ive tried blank and root / vix as a password. All this has worked perfectly on my Vu+ Zero running Openvix also. Baffled, does WOS use different when setting up their boxes.
Anything to do with ports, Http is 80 and FTP 21
hope you can help

I'd set it to run every minute to test it.

[VU+ Ultimo4K] Conflicting Timer isn't conflicting
Got a strange problem. I've got 4 cables going into 2 twin FBC tuners. Connected to standard LNB. Trying to record something at 10pm for example but it's saying there's conflicting timers. However half of the timers it mentions are for things that are recording in 2 days time which my timer doesn't actually conflict with. Why would it report conflicting timers that aren't conflicting?
I also have another issue which I thought I solved but it's returned.
I'm recording these all at once (9 channels):
I also previously tested that I can record 4 other channels at the same time as the above channels such as BBC Four HD, BBC 1 HD, ITV HD, Channel 4 HD or Channel 5. However today it's giving me a conflicting timer when I try to record the above channels + BBC Four HD which doesn't make sense.
My tuners say this:
A: Single 28.2E
B: Equal to tuner A
C: FBC Automatic inactive
D: FBC Automatic. Connected to tuner A
E: FBC Automatic. Connected to tuner D
F: FBC Automatic. Connected to tuner E
G: FBC Automatic. Connected to tuner B
H: FBC Automatic inactive
I: Equal to tuner A
J: Equal to tuner A
K: FBC Automatic inactive
L: FBC Automatic inactive
M: FBC Automatic inactive
N: FBC Automatic inactive
O: FBC Automatic inactive
P: FBC Automatic inactive
Seems like some of the tuners aren't being used when they should be. Have I set them up correctly?

Zgemma Android image
Does anyone have any info on zgemma android image had zgemma h9 combo almost a year now and no sign of anything  And now they are almost onto release of h10. That was one of the reasons for buying because of dual system. Not expecting it to be as fast as a dedicated android box but would be good just to find out :)
