Hi,

My Edision OSMINI suddenly will not boot and show an image.

I have tried to re-image the box with the latest Openvix image 5.3.039. When I insert the USB key and fire up the box the image menu shows up fine and the three steps are performed fine. After it has benne imaged I do get the splash screen for a few seconds but then the screen turns black. The display on the box just says "boot" and nothing else happens. I have also tried to put on the image I had on before with the same result.

Any ideas?

Sometimes when my EPG gets corrupt it seems I can only continue by manually doing 'Menu' / 'Setup' / 'EPG' / 'Load-save-delete' / 'Delete EPG'
before starting EPG-Refresh 'Refresh now'.

Surely I should be able to acheive the same effect by enabling 'Flush EPG before refresh' in EPG-Refresh which I have always had enabled, as a fix for getting overlapping EPG events when the EPG is changed.

Something must be only half working in EPG-Refresh's 'Flush EPG before refresh' feature.

Technomate TM-Nano-SE Plus - with standard installation skin

Hi, I am having a problem with recording 2 channels at the same time, the problem started after upgrading from V 5.3.030. when the receiver immediately reported Record Timer conflicts if there were 2 recordings sheduled at the same time.
I tried manually recording by putting one channel into record, then selecting a different channel and placing that in record. the second channel refused to record stating there was a conflict with the channel already in record.
At this point I decided I would try a fresh installation without installing the backup file from v5.3.030, this worked perfectly for a few days until I accidentally switched the receiver power off which caused the issue to return. I had performed a settings after first installation so I restored this which repaired the fault.
I decided to test the power down situation once more which immediately returned the fault. With all previous versions I have always been able to power down without any issues.
I don't want to have to keep doing settings backups every time I add or remove timers. So I am left with either returning to version 5.3.030, or running with 5.3.039 until the next update is out to see if the issue is resolved. Unless of course anyone has found a fix, or workaround for this bug.

I have successfully installed Mediaportal, but when I open any video it gives an error saying "this plugin requires package nodejs". What is the problem?

My box has 2 satellite tuners and 1 freeview tuner. I assume all tuners can be used at once?

The satellite tuners work fine but the freeview tuner doeesn't work. I've added it as:

• Tuner C: DVB-T2.
• United Kingdom
• All regions, United Kingdom, (Europe DVB-T/T2)

Then I did an Automatic scan on Tuner C.

On my VU+ Duo 2 box I would exit all menus then press the Down arrow on my remote. I would got to Providers > Unknown. That was where the freeview channels would appear on that box when I used a USB freeview tuner. However on my Tiviar Alpha+ box that has a physical freeview tuner as a part of the box, when I go to Unknown I can only see standard definition channels and none of them display a picture. When I try to display any of the channels and I press the OK button the channel info popup on the bottom of the screen says it's a HbbTV channel.

How do I get the freeview channels to appear and in HD?

How many channels can be recorded at once with a single freeview cable?

Can I use a splitter to get 2 freeview cables? I will plug the second cable into a USB tuner.

Good morning, I got home yesterday evening and my Tiviar Box was dead...no power. I had a spare mains lead that I know works and no joy. The box was connected to a surge protector and none of the other items (TV and Formular Z Box) were affected if it was a spike. Is there suppler to get a new power board from or to get it looked at?

Experimenting with my AX61 and very pleased so far BUT how do I get it to display program name on front display? All I have is time. using multiboot so have openvix, openatv. pure and hdf images.

Was trying to record 3 programmes at the same time on 3 different channels:
Drama
BBC 1 HD
ITV3 HD

The 3 programmes on the above channels allowed me to add timers. But when I tried to add a 4th timer for channel 4 at the same time it wouldn’t let me add it due to a timer conflict.
Why is that? I have 2 Twin tuners on my VU+ Duo 2. I thought that meant you could record 4 different channels at the same time?

On previous images on EPG > Menu if I entered a Primetime of 20:00 for example then when looking at the EPG if I pressed number 9 on the remote to go the primetime of 8pm then the EPG would start at 8PM. I also show 4 hours per screen. In the current image the EPG starts at 6PM but the selector is on 8PM. This is useless. I look at the EPG for every 24 hours. In the previous images it would take me 6 screens of 4 hours per screen to look at the EPG for the next 24 hours. Now it takes 7 screens. Can you please change it back to the old way so that the EPG starts at the primetime hour entered in the menu.

Sometimes when I try to delete a movie near the top of the list (newest files) I can't delete it if what is currently recording has the same name.

e.g. Today I set two timers, one to record a film from satellite another to record it from Freeview simultaneously.
Then I changed my mind and stopped the recording from Satellite.
The box would not let me delete the recording I stopped, instead asking me if I wanted to stop the recording in progress before deleting!!

It also happens if I accidentally reboot the box just before something I set to record starts.
Say program is scheduled to start at 21:00 and recording is set to start at 20:57 and without thinking I reboot at 20:58.
The tiny short recording of the end of the previous program and maybe some adverts cannot be deleted while the box is recording the actual program without it asking if I want to stop the recording in progress before deleting!! :confused:

ATM I'm flashed with VIX image.
However, the latest instructions refer to multiboot installation.
I don't have multiboot needs so the question is:
Do I update image with the Mmc.zip file only OR do I need to follow the entire procedure with both files starting with the Recovery Emmc.zip?
Help much appreciated. Don't want to screw up.

Could somebody please help me to remove xtream editor from my box, as in totally removed. I'm trying to re-flash my box but unable to achieve this.

currently my H7S freezes and lags, trying to start over.

any help would be appreciated.

Why is swap channels swapping BET and Smithsonian channel HD (rather than Smithsonian channel and Smithsonian channel HD) in my BSkyB bouquet?

Hi,
I just tried to record a program on my VU Duo 4k and it couldn;t find the mount for the recordings. The disk is still there and ok but recordings have gone. I looked at the drive in Filezilla and I can browse it but the /hdd folder seems to have reset. I telnet on to the box and the disk space looks low when I run a df command at 11%. Is there anway to get my files back?

Hello,

I might have a problem with my multiswitch and I don't know how to diagnose the fault.

So, Saorsat transponder setting has updated recently and I've been trying to get it integrated correctly into my system. However, what should be Left Circular polarization now needs to be Right Circular (or vertical) in the signal finder (OpenVix).

I have been told that it might be my multiswitch has gone on the blink, but I don't know how to check or confirm this. Alternatively, I'm not sure if anything has happened to the the OpenVix image that might cause this issue.
I'm confirming with the provider that the polarization should still be Vertical Left. If it is, how do I diagnose a fault in the multiswitch?

I'm having some problems with the positioning of the OpenVix icons/banners for a long time now and I've decided to raise a post on it.

So, I've got the Simple_Ten_Eighty image and the volume display is cropped about 2/3 off the left hand side of the screen - meaning that it can be hard to see. Also, the banner at the top can be cropped at times depending on what I am doing.

Is there anything I can do to recentralise these - especially the volume display?
