Have the latest Vix installed on my Mio 4K. I'm new at understanding T2Mi and MIS transponder scanning.
Does the latest have the right tuner driver that support these?
Also I live in the US and am wondering what sat charts show satellites and transponders that use these modes.
If Vix doesn't support it, which image would? Edision sent me test tuner drivers for 5.3.0 awhile back but never got a chance to test them.

Just conducting a survey on whether people's remotes are identified correctly. To find out what your remote is identified as, press following
OpenViX:
Menu > Setup > System > Input Devices
OpenATV:
Menu > Setup > Usage & User Interface > Extended User Interface > Input Devices
OpenPLi:
Menu > Setup > System > Expert Settings > Input Devices

Was looking around some newer (currently having Vu+ Zero) mid-range combo STB-s which could have both satellite and terrestrial tuners and stumbled upon Edision OS-mio+ Plus 4K. In "paper" it has many goodies under hood: 4K, HEVC, 1xS2X + 1xS2/T2/C, Enigma...
But one thing I noticed that it never tells anything about being able to decode H.264 anywhere. Is it not mentioned because this should be obvious anyway or because it really can't decode H.264? (It would be needed for both satellite and terrestrial signals)
Another question is about this S2/T2/C combo tuner: can it use only one of them at time or is possible to use any of them (like watching T2 and recording S2) ?

Hi,
I've just upgraded my LNB from a quad to a Gigblue Ultra SCR LNB (2 x legacy + 1 x SCR). All inputs appear to work fine, with 100% signal strength.
The receiver works fine when I only have tuner A configured, as soon as I try to configure the 7 other tuners as per the sticky thread here:
Unicable II, Inverto IDLU-32UL40-UNB00-0PP, FBC tuners
And then force the tuner to test (Setup->Tuners & Scanning -> Misc -> Preferrer Tuner (B-H) I get a Tune failed error.
I have tried following the steps in this sticky thread:
Unicable devices and tune failed messages
Which doesn't help either.
I was able to temporarily get all the tuners working by:
1) Configuring just one of the tuners (Setup -> Tuners and Scannning -> Tuner Setup)
2) Testing the tuner (Setup->Tuners & Scanning -> Misc -> Preferrer Tuner) - Although tuner indicator is blank for tuners (E-H) I assumed it switched (UI Bug?)
3) Repeat 1 and 2 in turn for each tuner
However this morning tuners B-H have stopped working and I get tune failed.
I'm running ViX 5.3.039 - perhaps I'm encountering some bugs and should upgrade to 5.4?

I am confused it has happened in the past and it has now happened the last 2 weekends,
I have an extrend et8500 using 2 sat tuners
I wake up to an error on screen my auto timmer could not add new timers and when i try to add a new recording it comes up with clashes all week! that were not there the day before, say i have gardener world bbc 2 7am followed by car sos channel4 8am they say clash at 8am and ignores there are 2 tuners and is ok.
I have to do updates untill monday or tuesday when it disapears.
is some one using a bad document to creat updates and causing problems for multi tuner users?
how do i turn off updates until they are fault free and stable for all users?
technophobe (because i cant understand forums but it is the only way modern suport seems to be) .

for the last 2 weekends somthing has gone wrong with the box.
i get a list of autotimers it cant add because of clashes and when i try to manually add it says no due to clashes.
ones in the week that were ok yesterday, but now, not today an example today iron resurection 3 - 4 and money talks 2:30 - 3.

Dear all
I was always wondering weather I could increase the font size of the NetSpeetTest plugin for HD screen. At last I looked into the program and found under
ftp://root@192.168.1.102/usr/lib/eni...s/NetSpeedTest the file default.py.
This file can be easily edited by a browser or a text editor. So I modified the font size to 36 and did some adaption on the position and sizes of the fields.
It does not look 100% perfect but I don't need a binocular anymore.
Is somebody interested in the file?

Hi iptv been working fine on box for a few months. Put on yesterday and it just hangs on connecting. Eventually saying check url. And ethernet. Haven't touched url and kodi etc working so ethernet fine. I have 2 subs with the same provider and my son has same box and his is working fine?? Any ideas please

But I'm not sure what you are trying to find out. These are configuration options. The actual setting is the one "behind" the top entry, and that is set to Default, which doesn't actually tell you which of the (many) options that is.

I'm in the USA. I've pondered purchasing a VU+ receiver to be shipped here for some time now but am having decision selection problems.
Developers obviously have source code to build drivers for their pluggable tuners. So they must have the tuners in hand to build and debug the drivers.
I've asked WOS for info on tuner options for the Ultimo and others. The VU+ site only shows photos and no details.
Could someone give me a list of the tuner chipsets so that I could narrow down my selections?
I have an HDHomerun tuner that works great for in the clear cable H256 channels and no over the air ATSC channels I can receive here.
My first sat receiver was a Zgemma H7-AC. The specs said it would receive cable channels. It never did. I had the frequency log from the HDHomerun with all of the parameters to plug into the Zgemma. It never acknowledged a frequency existed.
My Edision Os Mio 4k has a terrestrial/cable tuner. I haven't tried hooking up my cable to it (need and adapter for F to it).
Cable doesn't matter that much. C and ku band does. Things like blindscans, 4 MHz closely spaced frequencies, t2-MI, MIS, ACM/VCM does matter.
A photo of a tuner on the VU+ site and details of chips contained in them are pretty sparse. If any at all.
WOS gives the option of tuner selection for receivers, just no information of tuner details. Receivers at least have the processor and capabilities listed.
What would it take or where would I go to check the inner details of tuner components? Or compatibility between the various receivers?
I have a few friends over across the pond who took WOS tuner selection suggestions and haven't had that good of and experience.
I'm not a level 1 geek and of course there is not a walk in store to see before I buy.
Where does a person go to find out the tuner inner details? I have a contact who would ship here from the UK to give a VU+ a go on a trial basis to review their performance with different tuners and images.

Channel 4 HD can watch it but it doesnt upload EPG and cannot record. If I add a timer it switches to Channel 4 (not HD)
am I doing something wrong?

Having owned a Vu+ Duo for years I seem to be having problems with it losing ITV channels. I do a search and all is well for a few days and it goes again. What bx should I be looking at getting now. It must be able to record and as I now have IPTV it would be great to be able to watch IPTV through the box and recording IPTV channels would be even better but I dont know if this is possible.

Hi Can anyone tell me why my VU+ Duo is suddenly losing ITV. I can be watching it then it throws up an error and wont display. I have to perform scans and can get it back but then it goes again.

On openvIX there is the possibilitry or plugin like seekbar to forward/reverse pause/stop vod movie ? without plugin like Xcplugin or Xtreamy... directly on movie vod ?
